ASUS TUF Gaming X3 Radeon RX 5700 XT EVO $609 + Delivery @ SaveOnIT

180

Discounted price on the new, revised EVO model of the previously garbage 5700XT offering by Asus.

Probably worse than Sapphire Pulse for a similar price but the cooler design might be visually more appealing for some.

Postage estimate is $16.50 for me to Sydney.

  • At this price and with postage not being free you may as well just buy another model

    • Of course. Which model do you recommend at this price?

      • I've got the pulse, and if you can get that it's probably one of the better ones, at least according to GamersNexus' tests.

        • If you like the shorter 2 fan design with the red highlights, that'd be my pick also

          • +2

@scottySK: Eh, I just got it cause Sapphire have a very good track record, didn't give much of a thought to how it looked.

            • @MahyarJ: The nitro looks like the real pick of the bunch if it's ever discounted

              • +1

@scottySK: Yeah, I got my AIO and Ram sticks afterwards, and they're both RGB so the 5700xt does stand out a little now, but it's not the biggest issue for me.

      • PowerColor Red Dragon is a good one but hard to come by. Exceptional performance for a dual slot card, looks nicer than the Pulse imo.

  • Any ideas on this compared to the 2060 Super? Are we expecting DLSS to be a better investment into the future?

    • +10

      5700xt competes with the 2070S

      • +1

Not at the same price point.

        • +6

Exactly. That's why people buy the 5700xt

        • +2

          5700xt is pretty much in between a 2070 and 2070S, a 2060S is more 60ish FPS 1440p or high-ish FPS 1080p.

          • @MahyarJ: Wondering if I should get the 2060S at this price point with the DLSS, or the 5700XT and take the slightly better all round performance.

            • +1

@gmail92: As far as I'm aware, DLSS 2.0 only works in a select few games, although it's a pretty cool feature, and AMD should follow suit soon enough if they know what's good for them.
              I'd go with 2070S>5700XT>2070>5700>2060S>2060
But If you can, I'd wait with RDNA 2 and Ampere to be released hopefully soon the GPU's listed above will drop in price.

              • @MahyarJ: I have heard DLSS 2.0 require the RT cores. Do you think AMD can still pull something like that off without them?

                • @Void: What's your opinion between 2060S/5700XT/Wait?

                  • +2

@gmail92: Wait imo, but if I needed one now I'd get a 5700 XT since I don't want to base my part choice on a new software technology which may never be widely implemented. I've got an RX 5700 right now (was in Techfast PC), and it's treated me well so I know what to expect from the XT.

                • @Void: I'm pretty sure DLSS uses the Tensor cores, as the RT cores are exclusive to Ray Tracing, with time I'm sure AMD can release their own version of Tensor/RT Cores.

                  • @MahyarJ: I know but the 5700 XT won't have it, that's what we're comparing with in this case.

                    • @Void: I was replying to your statement earlier about DLSS using RT cores…

                      • @MahyarJ: Gah so hard to keep track of OzB threads! I see what you mean. Too many cores with NVIDIA, tensor cores, RT cores, CUDA cores…

  • I bought the old version. It's very hot. Will not buy any ASUS amd card again.

    • Yes what a load of hot garbage that was!

  • -4

    Radeon? nahhhhhhhhh

    • Neon? yahhhhhhhhh

  • Not sure why this didn't get more votes, this revised model is one of the best performers and that's a great price.
