Make sure you save the page prior submitting the application, if you haven't done so, probably best to call up to confirm.

  • Applied and got email for income verification on 11 Aug that I've stated on application, submitted on the same day and haven't heard back. It's been 8 days ago. What's the go??

    • Send an email back to them…

    • Me also seem to be on the same boat. Applied on 8th, did income verification online and yet to hear anything.

Their customer care phone line is closed due to COVID. Sent an email and not even got an auto response.

I am even beginning to think this is scam. :(

      • I guess because they have to perform detailed assessment and hence why took longer. Like in my case, I do actually have to provide further documentations from the initial submission and didn't hear anything, but when I emailed, they did reply, but took at least 2 days. I guess they are inundated with applications? Don't worry, they will response just takes longer that's all. Not a scam as I got mine already and activated.

        • You are right. Their response and the cards came on the same day.
The pin came in seperate but on same bunch. Not so secure though.

I had to call customer care to activate card, which was pretty smooth. Remember to keep that secret question you gave on application (which I forgot).

The representative said that I need to go to an atm to set new pin. But it did work for smaller spends.

    • Seems unusually long. I supplied my payslips on the evening of 4 August and got my approval email on the afternoon of 6 August.

  • Still waiting to get approved or declined…
Applied on the 4th of August.

    • Yeah that seems way too long. Have you tried calling them (I know, customer service is not great).

      • I don't think the credit card application team will take calls as I call the number provided in the application and it went straight to tell you that you need to email them directly. Not sure this has changed since.

        • Ah yeah I needed to do that to get my card. Not sure why the app is hanging on some people here though…

    • Still not approved or declined. Applied 04/08

  • So i finally got approved. Called them up and they said that I was in a promo for 50k points not this. Had to tell them and explain the situation and they agreed that i will get 75k…. Be careful.

    • Did you get approved by 19th Aug?

      • No but i applied before that.
        Approved last week thursday

    • What is their contact number?

      • I called 133350

  • Applied 4-Aug, received call 26-Aug to ask for more info, provided over the phone. 10 minutes later received rejected email with no reason whatsoever. Wow… shocking! Thankfully I am not banking with you. Not going to waste time with this, others are way better mate!

Don't worry about it. It's not you, it's ANZ. I got rejected too (few mins after a call, and no explanation either), 2 weeks later applied for the equivalent Westpac card (same credit limit, same financials), and was approved. And I've had this card with ANZ two years prior, again approved previously (same financials - actually, better now). It's a pity, because ANZ used to be one of the really good credit card providers (decent offers with good bonus points and low annual fees, reasonable application process, fairly quick approval with turnaround averaging around 5 days), and their only downside used to be that they were quite slow to award bonus points after meeting min spend (average of around 48 days). But starting roughly around June/July their application process seems to have gone to the dogs and seems that they've started rejecting applications where there's no obvious reason to do so (zero defaults or late payments / flawless credit history, great credit rating, meet the financials with the docs to prove it, and so forth). To me they're downgraded to the same bottom-rung category as Citibank now - would rather deal with pretty much any other provider.

  • Is the $2,500 spend from the date of approval or date of application?

    • 75,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $2,500 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months of approval.

  • got approved yesterday applied before deadline so hopefully get the 75k points

  • Just got rejected even though i used to have the ANZ Black before , these new rules seems to mean i can never get another credit card again while holding onto the fee free ones i have and a mortgage. Even though in the past i had 2-3 more cards at a time while having the same cards i have now as well as and always paid every single one out in full before the due date.

  • im still undergoing approval. some issues with income confirmation apparently

  • They finally approved. My salary goes to my ANZ account. Still they asked for 7 recent payslips. I had this card before. Cancelled 14 months ago.

  • Just got my card in the mail. After 5 phone calls, 5 emails. And today when I want to ask for online banking access, I have to verify to bank physically. As the verification over the phone is how long have I banked with ANZ? How would I know when did I open my first account with ANZ.

    Anyway that's all over.

Just want to confirm if we need to spend $2500 or $3000 within 3 months period to get the bonus?

Still not approved or declined. Applied 4th Aug.
Numerous phone calls, countless wage verifications, and still nothing.
      Absolutely ridiculous.

  • For those who applied before the promo expired, but was approved after, have you got your bonus points yet? I have spent the requirement…

Also any idea when I will get the statement… Thought it would be beginning of each month but that didn't seem to be the case

    • +1

I believe it can take up to 3 months to receive the bonus points

thanks, got that confirmed when i emailed them

        • Got my 75,000 points :)

    Still not approved or denied…

Applied on 4th August. Was yet another phone call Monday to verify my income

  • Applied on 7 August and approved on 12 August.

I've just read my Letter of Offer properly and it says there's a "$240 Annual Account Fee plus $55 Rewards Program Services Fee". There's no mention of the annual fee being waived from this offer. Does anyone else's offer say otherwise?

    • I signed up to this offer and received my first statement for this card, there were none of those fees included. If you did the same then maybe just check your first statement to see if they charged it or not.

IME it is the norm for issuers to send out standard terms that do not reflect the particular promo you've signed up with (especially annual fee waivers). Hardly inspires confidence, but nothing to worry about in and of itself.

Always take screenshots of the offer on their website and record the URL that you applied through.

      • The URL got updated with ANZ's latest 50,000 points deal. Do you (or anyone else) happen to have a screenshot of the 75,000 points deal?

  • Finally got approved after applying on the 10th of August. Definitely the worst experience I have received applying for a credit card.

  • Finally got approved today. I applied on 4th August.
    Absolutely ridiculous

  • Still waiting for approval after ANZ asking for more info to be verified about 5 times. Applied 11 Aug, what a joke. Does anyone know if the waiver of the annual fee and bonus points still apply given its been so long?

Link to the finder page now shows a different offer

    • Applied on 04/08
      Approved on 17/09

I had way more than just 5 calls regarding verification of income, investment loan, bank account balances, etc etc

  • I applied on the 9th of August, approved a week ago, got the card today and activated, I hope I still get this 75000 points and waived annual fee..

    • I applied on 11th of Aug. Approved on 15th of Sept. Just called and they confirmed the 75k bonus points. Worth giving them a call, only took me 10 minutes!

  • I finally got my Card. Approval took forever, so much back and forth providing the same information over and over. My biggest issue was trying to prove a few older credit cards were closed already as they still appear on my credit report months later.

I have sent a secure mail today to confirm i am still eligible for the bonus points and by what date i need to spend $3k
