  • Are they better than LinkedIn learning?

    • Doesn't take long to open them all in new tabs and add to cart anyway.

      • I agree but just a question since I am actually gonna spent my time to learn. I have access to LinkedIn learning so need to select the best one to learn.

I've never tried linkedin learning. But I find these udemy videos to be okay from what I've seen. Yeah you could have dozens of other youtubers explain it all too but it's nice to have options and it's nice to have the same person doing the whole set of videos and remember what they already told you. And the popular courses get updated with notes about what has changed in recent software updates etc. YouTubers don't bother doing that.

        • Udemy platform is pretty good, but courses vary in quality. No idea about LinkedIn - I can imagine their platform might not be as developed yet (ie. transcripts, extra materials), but quality might be ensured since it's LinkedIn-branded.

  • Why do I feel like these courses were just ripped from Youtube……from page 100 of youtube :- |

I can personally vouch for the course “Automate the Boring Stuff with Python”, which I’ve completed. This should be a paid course, and usually is. The instructor seems to be a genuine expert in software development. He’s also an excellent teacher, speaks with incredible precision, and has written an excellent book available for free that accompanies the course. This course is far better than the amateurish rambling that a lot of these free courses involve. It also has an average rating of 4.6/5 from 64k students.

    • Nabbed one - thanks for the recommendation.

  • Expires in 11 hours. Oh well.

    • That means it stops being free in 11 hours, not that the courses you own on udemy will somehow disappear after 11 hours, I think.

      • This is the case, If you acquire it its yours.

    that said, it is discounted
