  • Waiting for someone to post an Epic Games $60 with coupon "deal".

    • I am puzzled: you are on Ozbargain and saving an additional $5.99 or $2.99 is a bad thing? How? Can you explain?

      • I think everyone with a coupon is fully aware it can get you $15 off the full price of a game, and for everyone else the deal might as well not exist.

        • That's pretty harsh. There are plenty of people who forget they have a coupon or that they can use it.
Sometimes life gets in the way: example: I missed to order in time the CatchConnect deal even though I was aware of it for over a week. Kept forgetting due to stress in real life and now I am too late.
I think extra info and reminders are better than too little info or no reminder.

@Lysander: You are on Ozbargain and you're forgetting about coupons?

I just think the same logic would say that a deal could be posted for every game on the Epic Games platform.

@matictac: Still puzzled. If you think so why did you post Far Cry 5 using the coupon?
Clearly a low price, even if it requires a coupon, is a good deal.

BTW: I did not say I forgot about the coupon but I know many people who did last time.

              • @Lysander: I posted that during the Epic Sale, when everyone had infinite coupons.

                • @matictac: Ah ok. I understand now. Your issue is not with using the coupon but with fact that not everybody still has one or can get one.
                  Got it. Fair enough.
I still think for people who have it those deals would be relevant but I see what you mean.

                  • @Lysander: Yesssssss, sorry if I could've been clearer. For me it's just like, when is the line drawn? Are we still going to see "with Coupon" deals a year from now?

                    • @matictac: No, over at latest by November. And the again when a new coupon comes around.
As I said, I don't mind as I managed to snag Vampyr for $7 thanks to reminders last time.

    • I'm entrenched with enough free stuff from Epic that I'd purchase from them just as likely as I would from Steam, up until this weekend, when I reinstalled Windows and discovered the Epic Launcher doesn't seem to support discovery of local game files (IE, I have to download Red Dead again).

      • +1

There is a work around (hopefully you haven't already deleted your install)

Start the download in Epic, then fully close out of it (right click then exit on taskbar). Copy your files to the download directory and re-launch Epic.

  • Amazing game, but that is not a great deal for 60 bucks!

Don't be fooled by the freebies, in the game you can get some godlike armours (if you search for it). You don't need any one of trade packs etc, you'll be fine. The game is very easy compared to many open-world games.

The Frozen Wilds expansion is pretty short but must have to get the full Horizon experience!

Great Game, but i wouldn'r pay $60 just because it's released on PC later.
