  • picked up one of these from TGG Commercial for around $110 a few weeks ago and it is an incredible mouse. Wish I bought a couple of them. TGGC still has them for $132 if you'd prefer in-store and have access.

    • +3

I am a tgg commercial member and I missed it.

Do they like have offers and discounts at times?

      • +1

Yeah I’m confused as to when it was $110 there?

        • it was 115 and 5 bucks postage i think. Using it right now and its very smooth :)

    • Didn't you feel the scroll of master 3 is not very accurate and inconsistent compared to non magnetic models? It also misses scrolls sometime especially first time you move the cursor to an application.

  • +1

Waited for a deal on this for a long time. I finally ended up buying it from jb hifi for $135 last week.

    • How can you get this price, they mark as 149. is there any way can get cheaper

      • +2

I always just ask if they can do it cheaper because I've seen it discounted elsewhere. Find the best deal you can from a reputable seller, even if it's $1 off and have it handy on your phone.
Most times I've not been asked for proof and they'll wander over to the computer and offer you a better deal.

        • I agree, I have done it multiple times; not guaranteed every time, just give it a go.

  • +4

This afterpay is a pain. Just signed up and they say my transaction has been declined. Is there a way to prepay afterpay and make it beforepay?

    • Isn't that just out-right buying it?

    • +1

Another user commented that you can pay via gift cards and still get the discount

    • +1

As an FYI I used it once to take advantage of a promo and paid the entire thing off right away, should you not want to be doing repayments to a schedule.

    • +3

      Afterpayn

    • I signed up for an Afterpay account for my cat and she was accepted. I didn't think they even did a credit check, unless you had insufficient funds for the first payment I don't see how you can be declined.

  • +3

$132 on Good Guys Commercial if you don't want to use AfterPay.

    • Got to pay for postage though sadly.

  • Waited for a deal on this for a long time. But now I am waiting for new master 3 for mac. it should be coming this month.

    • +1

What's the difference between the normal one and for mac? Can't the normal one be used on mac also?

      • The cable is different, the new one come with usb-c to usb-c, better for mbp.
Also the new one suppor Ipad OS as well.
And the price is the same, but the normal one dont have any deal for a long time.
So I decide to wait first.

Some web said it have the better connection, but I dont think so….

        • could you also use it on pc?

      • Yeah I use my MX Master 3 on my MacbookPro and iPad and works fine for me! Maybe additional features/support for the Mac/iPad??

        • +3

No new features other than what would be in software. The mx master 3 for mac works with windows despite what the website says, it also can connect to a Logitech unifying receiver but does not come with one.

Some people have reported better bluetooth connectivity with mac. As in less dropouts, otherwise it’s the same thing rebranded

I used this link to pricebeat further 5% at Officeworks for $112.48. https://jockimart.com/product/logitech-mx-master-3-wireless-…
Pretty sure the site itself is suspicious, but my experience with OW is as long as the site loads on their browser and it shows the product code then they will accept it. Receipt: https://imgur.com/yK32xhP

    • +1

Can confirm this, i had used the above link from jockimart to get a price beat at my local OW.

    • +1

"Why don't I just get it from Jocki Mart, surely they can't be that bad…"
      Finds: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543605

Cheers, I'll be going to Officeworks tomorrow.

    • +1

Love that the mouse is in category "Diapers 3"…

    • damn, I pricebeat another site which was $135. Out of curiosity, how did you get this site? I tried googling the mouse but it only returned the usual ones which either don't have stock or $130+.

      • +1

It popped up as one of those targeted/suggested ads on my phone

    • +1

Went today they told me they don't match this website

      • +1

I tried this like a week ago… they didn't do it either because it doesn't end in .au
Does showing them a receipt from another buyer force them to do this?

        • +1

No.on a last attempt I showed them the receipt that was posted here. They still refused saying that officeworks shouldn't have done that.

    • +3

Just called them, they said they can't price match because JockiMart is considered a scam. Rep told me they are listed on scam watch :(

    • +1

This worked for me at OW. Took a while as they weren't sure and checked the website, but in the end I got it. I wouldn't have purchased if I didn't get it. I wasn't going to be too fussed if I didn't get the discount as my Mx Master 2S is still going strong.
Try it and see how you go.

    • Thanks for your info. I just got one from OW Wentworthville this morning, price matched; still 3 available.

  • +3

This is a very famous mouse and I got the MX Master 1. It died suddenly 2 years into its life. I searched the internet and found the problem to be the gesture button. Tried fixing it but no dice.
Logitech won't send replacement as its after 2 years.

This is the first mouse that died on me. I do use MX Anywhere 2 which I purchased along with this and that works fine. Just my experience.

    • +2

Yeah logitech used to be good with their service and warranty but in my recent experiences they've gone down the gutter. I'd have bought this mouse if not for that.

    • +1

Had the same problem last year with my MX Master 1 and I fixed it after following some videos.
I never even used the gesture button before but it got pressed on while it was in my bag and got stuck in the depressed position.
Drove me nuts trying to figure out why the whole mouse stopped working all of a sudden.
Still using the mouse though after 5 years and no other problems, the battery can still last for at least a week of daily non-gaming usage.

    • I purchased the first mx master in early 2016 used it almost every day since then, dropped it countless times on hard floors. I'm still using it today. It's scratched and old looking but works fine.

  • +1

    How’s this for FPS games?

    • +3

too heavy….logitech have a lot of good gaming mouse.

    • +1

I have big hands and this mouse is perfect for me. Great for FPS and can be cable connected or wireless.

      • +1

Just chuck a magnetic USB-C cable on it. Best of both worlds.

        • Good idea, would make life slightly easier haha. It seems to last me weeks between charges.

    • +1

i also found it too heavy, was bit of an issue for me lifting it all the time to reposition during gaming. More designed for casual use.

    • terrible, get a proper gaming mouse

    • +1

Went from a Magic Mouse to this for gaming and it is like heaven lol. Sure, its not gonna please the hardcore gamers with their 9180ti and 400hz refresh rate monitors but at least I can play Valorant with it lol.

Id characterise it as an excellent productivity mouse which can do double duty as a light duty gaming mouse

    • If it's anything like the MX Master 2, not great. My $25 tecknet mouse was much better for gaming.

    • Fine. But I have used most generations since the MX5500.

    • Get a G703 or GPW

  • does anyone know where to get the white/light grey version? Can't seem to find it anywhere :(

    • i only recall the original mx master being in this colour. they called it slate

  • Great mouse

  • I also was able to OW pricebeat at Umarts $129 last week

  • -5

All large controllers and mice should use AA/AAA batteries :/

    • Look at the bottom of your mouse. Where would you fit a door for AAA batteries?

      • In the same spot as my first high end Logitech wireless. Or my evoluent. Or my xbox one controllers.

        It fricking works.

    • I kinda agree with you there. The Mx Revolution (or m950) is my favourite mouse. I just swap out the AA eneloop every few weeks. It’s just a shame the skates are wearing out on it.

I’ve also got an MX Master (original v1) - it’s a lot heavier despite not having a removable battery. Keeps its charge but the side buttons are awkward (looks like they moved them slightly on this 3rd gen).

  • Worth upgrading from G502 for office/design work? Won't be using it for gaming

  • +1

As a newbie when it comes to this mouse, can someone give me some reasons why its so highly rated?

    • It feels good in your hands

    • +1

It's comfortable AF. The ergonomic design has your wrist positioned at the perfect angle reducing pain and fatigue. The magnetic scroll wheel is also quite satisfying to use.

Great for productivity work, wouldn't use it for gaming, however.

      • +1

thanks. Cool I'm sold! will be great for editing videos with

  • +4

Guys and girls, look I believe in CPI and yearly increase in tech, groceries and products/services in general but isn't the MX master RRP $129? I find it a little ridiculous seeing a $150+ RRP. Don't get me wrong, these a premium products and I, myself, am a proud owner of 2x MX anywhere 2s mouses as they are my daily drivers and even @ $150 a piece it's a good investment considering the productivity I receive out of it. But price hike? Perhaps they started off with a lower RRP than they should've.

  • I find the Anywhere MX2 as my daily driver. I find it just a touch too small for my liking, but about the right weight. Would it be too drastic of a size and weight upgrade to go to this? Is there anything in between? I had a look and maybe the Triathlon m720?

  • +2

Am I the only one who thinks $130 is way too much money for a mouse? I have the MX Master 2 which is picked up for $70, but jesus this is pushing it.

    • +2

Yeah, I feel the same. I have both Mx Master 1 and 2 which were around price of $60 to $70. If the Mx master 1 or 2 is on special again for around $60, I would prefer to buy one of those.

  • It took me some time to get used to this mouse. First impression that it was too light and small (I have a normal size palm). Now I love the scrolling. Switching between my mac and pc is also great. Though it doesn't have macro feature as the G serious.

  • Is this superior to the ergonomics of the MX Vertical? I've never been able to compare in person

  • For anyone who misses out, these are $8 more delivered via Amazon if you have Prime.

  • I've used it since March, great mouse for office work.

  • Can't comment on the deal but I got one of these for work (I work in IT with multiple monitors) and I must say it is a god send.
And the ability to spin around and connect to another PC as well as just take it home with me and use on my home PC aswell is god tier.

    Logitech rarely disappoints.

If you are a multitasker or you use hotkeys/shortcuts often - You need this mouse.

Pop in OW and price matched one for 103.55
    https://lettronic.com/product/logitech-mx-master-3-wireless-…

    • +2

they told me they don't match this website

  • +1

If you want to try out the Flow functionality but do not want to shell out $130, try the MS Mouse without Borders.

    • I've used this app for more than a year. It's very lightweight and powerful. It enables you not only to share one mouse but also to share one keyboard between two windows devices.

  • I paid $116 by haggling at Joyce Mayne when they had a discount on Logitech stuff Was $148 less 20% on sale

  • +1

Is the scroll wheel issue still a thing?

  • Can someone explain to me the justification for price tag for one of these? I.e. i own a MX Master 2S which I got for around $50, what would entice me to upgrade to one of these? Thanks in advance

  • Pretty sure the prices are jacked due to the run on SOHO equipment as a result of all the working from home due to Coronavirus. The all-time lows for these have easily been close to $100 or less (e.g. its predecessor for $59 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/522970) but haven't seen anything even close to that this year.

  • Picked one up today from Harvey Norman asked for their best price and was told $125.00 good enough for me to buy it there and then

  • why this still priced so high..

  • EDIT: Nothing, no stock. Sorry.
