Seller is "Gadget Lifestyle AU" but it is fulfilled by Amazon so returns and delivery should be very easy. According to this review the images of the DRAM chips show "DTDR" marked on them which means it's Hynix DJR. From a bit of googling it seems to be similar to Hynix CJR but scales further with voltage making it probably the best IC you can buy short of Rev.E and B-die. I can't guarantee it will be DJR, but it's still a good price for 3200CL16 memory.

Also Viper Steel for $99 too if that's your thing.

Should probably add 16GB (2x8GB) to the title.

16GB, 2 spaces and 2 brackets makes the title too long for my liking lol. I put 2x8GB.

The 4000mhz in this range is bdie btw

  • I'm a PC builder and have purchased these in bulk in the past, I found them to be very frustrating due to Bsod and other incompatibilities issues.

I've got a small pile of these sitting in my room that I have to return, I think around 1/5th of these gave me issues.

I'd spend a little more and avoid the potential headache.

    • What CPU?

      • Ryzen 1600af, 2600, 3300x and maybe one or 2 more… can't exactly remember from the top of my head.

        • 3300X should have no issues, the Zen+ CPUs possibly.

          • @Void: Most likely you won't have issues (even on 2000 series), but for someone like my self who builds a lot of PC's it gets frustrating after a while.

            • @PowerPC: I'd be very surprised if you got so many duds. It seems RAM is the most high risk component, so it's possible.

              • @Void: As Yuri mentioned below it may have something with the SpecTek A-die they use…

I have had conversations with the previous distributor of patriot ram and they gave up on them due to the number of returns coming back.

    • I assume it works better on intel systems

  • I have these (bought earlier in the year). They've been rock solid at XMP settings on my 3600. Thaiphoon reports they are SpecTek A-die. I'm not an expert and I couldn't find much information about them except that SpecTek is lower binned Micron. Maybe Thaiphoon is wrong but they seem to be really cheap. I guess okay if you don't plan to overclock outside advertised settings.

    • Same model?

      • Yup, even bought from the same seller, although it was back in Jan/Feb. This is my Thaiphoon report: https://imgur.com/a/10umFjk

I tried overclocking them with the Ryzen DRAM calculator but had to reset CMOS every time and didn't bother after. Haven't had issues with XMP though and they were pretty cheap so can't complain too much.

Have you tried DJR timings? If it works then it may just be incorrect SPD, quite common.
