These cheap beer deals never come to NSW

    • +1

of course not, they only have one store, in Richmond, VIC…

      • Obviously i was talking about this store in particular right? And not general deals on beer

        • +2

"These cheap beer deals" are always from GWD. In Victoria. Which is why they never "come" to NSW.

And pretty much every time they're posted (every week), someone from NSW makes a comment along the lines of "These cheap beer deals never come to NSW". Going to have to side with jv on this one!

    Asahi….rock on!

    I love the Asahi…

I fell in love with Asahi on my last trip to Japan, they bring out a new "Beer" every year, I was told to avoid the hefty beer tax in Japan, apparently it takes the government 12 months to catch up, its also why the New Beer Asahi Cans don't have the word beer printed on them in English or Japanese, and why they are a dollar cheaper in Japan.

    • Now that Asahi bought Independant Distillers, im hoping to see some more Asahi varieties in Aus. I couldn't believe how many different Asahi's the local Lawson's stocked. Plus they also make confectionery.

  • They are still trying to get rid of those coronita's lol, last week or the week before they were giving away a 12 pack with every dozen of a certain kind of wine as well.

Anyway, good prices, not the best these guys have had I can't believe it wasn't on the main page when they had JW for $19.99 lol.

DM is "out of stock" as per usual so went down the road to 1st choice, they still had half a pallet.

    • +1

which one is out of stock ?

(and i bet stock mysteriously reappears tomorrow…)

      • The Asahi. Mind you the place was pretty much dead of customers and they claim to have all sold out by 12pm. I don't think so………..

    • What stores?

      • +2

        Port Melbourne.

  • Is that Asahi from UK or is it the one brewed within Australia? I'm getting tired of reading 'imported asahi' when it's not dirrectly from Japan.

I've read the real one from Japan tastes quite different.

    • There is no Asahi brewed in Australia.

Bottled Asahi sold in Australia comes from 2 countries. Offfically imported - Thailand. Parallel imported - UK.

      • I know it's not i made an error when typing Australia..lol Thanks anyway.
