I know eBay has been getting a ton of hate lately but seems like a decent deal for a years worth of plus perks.

Is there a time limit to use the $50 voucher and is there spend requirements? The last time I got a membership that included a $50 voucher, I had to spend over $200 or something just to use it…

Just confirming I got the voucher despite not being targetted and also getting the warning because I've had ebay plus previously.
Plus is crap comapred to Prime but if you're spending the $50 anyway, then you might as well.
My one year paid plus expires in 2 weeks.
Did you get any sign that you will get the voucher when re newing the membership?
My membership had lapsed by months so it wasn't a continued renewal. I got no emails or offers in regards to this or anything else from ebay when my previous plus membership was expiring beforehand either.
If you're unsure, you could always let it lapse then see if they offer you anything to renew it or you can just go for this deal after your plus membership has run out as It looks like this has worked for everyone who have had plus previously. If for some reason you don't et the voucher, just contact live chat and I'm sure they will do it for you.
i see. so best bet is let it expire and try the link from page 1. cool will try. too bad we cant stack the vouchers with some promo codes
Don't know if its been said here already but the $50 voucher does not stack with discount codes (from what I've tried). So plan to purchase something without the myriad of eBay plus discount codes.

So I guess it's my own fault for not thoroughly scrutinising the T&C's, but I did not realise the code was one-time use only and used it on a sub-$50 order, in essence forfeiting the bulk of the credit. eBay support essentially told me I'm SOL.

My eBay plus expired few days ago. No email received for this offer. Can I still get this $50 if I start membership again on same account?

I just renewed mine through the link and got the $50 instantly after payment. I expired about a month ago and hadn’t received any email offer or anything. Know way to know until you checkout unfortunately.

ok so mine exp on 17th, today 14th i just tried to cancel and they offered $30, i accepted, but tomorrow 15/12 i will cancel completely … and 18th will renew with $50 link
let see if i get 30+50 or not. worst case 50 (the $30 said condition is after payment, doesnt say renewal or new)

2 days before expired i tried to cancel they offered $30 i click continue membership. didnt get any $30 voucher
then next day i completed the cancellation. didnt get any further offer.
today (3 days after expired) i re-join using the posted link, got a warning of already been a paid member, but i still continue checking out and paid $49———-, and then :

Hi @ChiMot, would appreciate a few clarifications if you don't mind me asking:
1) were you targeted for this deal ($50 voucher for $49 eBayPlus signup)?
2) have you previously used this deal to join eBayPlus a year before?
3) when you got a warning of previously been a paid member, but proceeded with payment anyway, was that message similar to this: https://imgur.com/pBA8pG2 ('Sorry you're ineligible for this offer'. Options: 'Return to eBay homepage', 'Continue to join eBayPlus') and you selected: 'Continue to join eBayPlus' anyway?
This would help me and hopefully other fellow OzBs to determine if it's better to stay with at least $30 retention voucher or gamble with hoping to get $50 voucher when re-joining eBayPlus a few days after membership expiry.

My membership has expired 3 days ago, I'm not targeted and used the same deal to sign up for eBay Plus last year ($50 voucher).
Just wondering if it's safe to proceed in hope to get at least $50 voucher or I'll end up paying full membership fee without that voucher?
Has anyone tried to sign up in January this year and has a similar situation?

@CyberMurning: An update - got the offer today (via email), 3 days after the membership expiry, so now I got targeted (I have to say, very-very quickly). But, when singing up, got exactly the same message as I posted earlier today - 'You have already tested eBay Plus for free. If you sign up now, the annual membership is due immediately.' Paid the fee and got $50 instant voucher on the screen and in 'My summary'.

This link still works. I previously had Ebay plus, last sub finished Dec 2020. I also originally signed up for a promo price. I got the $50 voucher code as soon as I process payment for a new annual sub.
You should have canceled many weeks before it ended, but the membership would still be valid till the last day.
