Its network is probably worth 1$ not a cent more. Don't fall for it

  • In b4 the negs

    • No negs so far

      • Think again boy

    • +1

I had no problem with them.

  • +6

I can feel the pain from the hidden bill shock and surprise fees already.

    • Hi AlienC! We send data usage notifications to inform customers of their usages to avoid excess charges. It can also be monitored using our app.

  • +2

    not this company again..

  • +3

surprise that this company still exists

    • Why?

      • +5

Oof. I just had a quick read through some threads from past "deals" by this company. I wouldn't go near them.

  • +4

Alot of 1 star reviews with some interesting feedback. Seems like a great company to avoid

  • +2

Award winning? What awards has it won so far? I googled and couldn't find anything.

  • Circles Life rep, can you confirm how I can test your service for one bill cycle without paying more than $1.

    • Who is the Circles.Life Rep?

      • +3

There is one. I saw it in another old post. Hopefully they will see my comment here too.

        • +1

Or maybe they ran away in fear! LOL

  • +2

    I just got this
Sign up by 17 August, 7pm AEST to enjoy the Satisfaction Guarantee.
    lol, not a good sign.

    • Satisfaction Guarantee no longer applies.

      AFAIK

    • +1

Did you see this in your account?
Also they said that if you've signed up for a promotion that includes bill waivers, the bill waiver will not be applied for the month of activation (only applies for bills covering the full month).

      • +1

No, it was a popup from the go to deal link, it isn't there now.

  • +3

Bad service, billing and port out.

  • +2

Definitely don't go with these guys, signed up with them for 3 months through another deal and they were ok for the first month but after that, it was horrible (and I'm in the Sydney CBD). Eventually ported out with Optus and it took the dealer 30-40 minutes to do so because they didn't actually have any customer reps in Australia and were using a VOIP phone number and were based in Singapore..

    • +1

Optus & Vodafone customer service call centre are now all in INDIA.
(Vodafone customer service call centre used to be in Hobart, Tasmania!)

I'd take Singapore over INDIA any day!

With all the reported bad experiences, isn’t it time this mob gets banned?

    • Would save some innocent people a lot of heartache.

    • +1

Not every single person has a bad experience.

No, they shouldn't be banned - just like DODO is not banned, but has "bad" experiences!

If any problems, just go to TIO - like all other Telco's.

    • +1

Let free market do it's magic.

  • +1

two things; 1) when i first ported over,my 4G wasn't connected straight away (other companies never had an issue like that) yes,my number was active.

    2) they're still chasing me over $2.50 from last year, lmao. You're not supposed to get charged for leaving, right?

    • +1

You're not supposed to get charged for leaving, right?

      What does/did your contract say?

  • +1

They were decent when I joined last Nov. However lately {last 3months) the speed is really bad. It seems to be getting worse.

    • Blame Optus.

They use Optus towers, which are flooded with customers in some areas.

      Nothing to do with Circles.life

      • -1

I am also on Amaysim. No problem with them.

  • +1

i signed up for the $28 for 100GB, they invoiced me $38 and still haven't replied to my support case over the $10 overcharge…..
the speed is okay I guess.

  • +2

What will my first Circles.Life bill look like?
You will receive your bill within the first 10 days of each month.

Your first bill is higher than usual, which is completely normal. This is because it includes charges for two billing cycles:

A part month (prorated) charge which starts from the time you activate your SIM card (if you got a new number) or from the time your number was successfully transferred to Circles.Life till the end of that month.
Any additional charges for that month (e.g. roaming charges)
The monthly charge for your plan for the following month.
After your first bill, your following bills will just include any additional charges incurred the month before and the monthly charge for the following month.

Please note that if you've signed up for a promotion that includes bill waivers, the bill waiver will not be applied for the month of activation (only applies for bills covering the full month).
So you should activate you sim on the last day of month.

    • +1

I don't really understand how all this works, but it's best to activate on the last day of the month?

Then cancel when, say 5 days before the end of the next month?

      • +1

Yes, I think that is best way to avoid overcharge, but I didn't know that before.

      • +1

I just Activated the moment I got my SIM card in the post.

With a Prepaid VISA card with only $1 on it.

  • $1 for 100gb, posted? The stamp is $1 already and + envelope…
Seems toooo goood to be true

  • +1

Apparently you have to follow a strict protocol to escape unscathed. Lol some mob on the other thread suggested some extra steps to protect yourself.

Why should you?? It should be port in and port out super simple. No ongoing ghost fees. No losing your numbers. Once you port out, you keep your number and you don't have to chase up a company's bad policy of continuing to charge you, in the hope that you forgot and just pay. Or making it such a hassle, you just pay for it to go away.

It's sim only plan. Not rocket science.

  • +2

Just bought one. Then the tonnes of negative threats here…. are they that bad???

    • +1

Read every word of your T&C carefully and save copies of anything you may need as evidence later and you may be ok.
I had a 4/5 month free trial with them and they tried to bill me every month! Network was slower than regular Optus.
If they get weird just report them to the TIO.

    • Not any worse than DODO.

Go to TIO if you have any problems, like all Telco's.

They have to pay a Fine of $30 for each TIO complaint.

  • +2

    Should be banned .

    • +1

      I disagree.

They are about the same as DODO, which is not banned.

Go to TIO if you have any problems, like all Telco's.

They have to pay a Fine of $30 for each TIO complaint.

  • +1

Please don't even suggest them to your enemies.πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

    • -1

      Enemies don't use mobile phones?

  • +1

Happiness expert's started negging the comments :)

  • I'm reaching 1 year with them. I transferred from optus as my plan ended and the process was painless. They even sent me a thank you hamper at the end of last year with goodies xD. At the beginning i was getting speeds that were the same as Optus however this isn't the case for the past 3months or so and have been mostly on 3g network with them with poor call service and i'm based around Sydney CBD. If anyone has previous experience with porting out with them how should i do this. Do i just port out and the cancellation would occur just like other providers or is there some other bs i have to do?

    Thanks!

    • +2

As well as Porting Out, you need to email and tell them to manually Cancel your account.

      Both things need to happen.

    • +2

Yeah exactly. I have noticed something changed in past few months. People can hardly hear me on phone calls. Almost every single one of them.

      • +1

        Blame Optus towers.

        Not a Circles issue.

  • +1

I think they also don't have part payment option (someone can confirm please). So they send you 2 month's first bill and you can't just pay for first month (with the intention of cancelling second month). You either don't pay at all or have to pay the full bill (and then try to run around for getting refund).

    • +1

      No.

You can select how much you want to pay, with a minimum of $1, via their App.

You can only pay by credit card number.

      No PayPal.
      No cash.
      No cheque.
      No bitcoin.

      • +1

        Thank You.

  • +1

I'm giving them a crack with the $18 for 100gb from finder

  • +1

As far as I'm aware these guys don't support VoLTE and probably VoWIFI

    • Correct.

      No Optus MVNO does.

      • +1

What is MVNO? I thought these guys were a Singapore company

        • +1

Reseller and Repackager of mobile services using Optus towers.

          Like Amaysim, DODO, etc

          Google MVNO.

  • +1

The offer keeps coming again and again. Are they desperate or what!

    • They're Desperate.

  • +3

This is a great deal for those who really hate themselves and are looking to waste their time and lose $1+.

  • +1

The idea anyone could download 100GB from Optus, in a month, is laughable.

    • After I ported in two days, actually the download speed is very good, but the upload speed is really sh*t, it took more than 20 seconds uploading this screen shot.

  • +1

    I'm only getting 20gb offered, not 100gb

    • They've just reduced it for new customers who use the code :(

I've changed my original offer details.

  • +1

Well I ordered two Sims and they arrived within 24 hours with express post. Let's see how this ends up in a month's time.

  • +1

    $12.50 cash back from cashrewards?

    • Yes.

    • +1

Conditions say no coupons allowed that's not listed on cash rewards.
