  • Lol if you're using a mask strap you might as well just disposable of that mask now….. Falsified FDA information

    • Dear Dezeption,

As far as I know, the FDA approval was recently obtained and should be updated on the website soon (however, I will double check).

That was what happened with our other mask: https://www.byecovid.com.au/kstar-mask (FDA listing number is visible on FDA's website now).

    • Hi Dezeption,

I just want to let you know that our product is on FDA's website.

      Establishment Name: SAEROM COSMETICS CO.,LTD.
      Product Code: LYU
      Owner/Operator Number: 10077231

      Hope this clarifies the situation!

Hi, OP, i thought Korea has banned all masks export since March 6, and only allow KF94 (N95) masks export from June, but not surgical masks.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Also what's the standard/ ratings of your masks?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/9112399/redir
you've promised that you are going to provide more info but kept silence since
A quick Google search "First Cure Lab mask" tells me nothing.

I am looking for VFE >95% masks.
Otherwise, DAISO sometimes stock BFE>95%, 30 for $2.80
    Cheers

    • 30 ? really still…?

      • yes but limited stock.
however, BFE >95% doesn't protect you from Covid.

BFE stops bacteria at 3.0μm size
VFE stops virus at 0.1μm size

        • +2

to be fair i think no mask will "protect" you 100% if someone is talking in your face

there will be some protection and if incooprated with social distancing then in a normal setting youre quite protected.

in a hospital with known active cases etc is different.

          • @astarman: I agree. I don't expect 100%.
            Even N95 stops 95% only
but a BFE>95% mask blocks 0% of virus lol

            • +2

@TanedaR: except sarcov2 will attach itself mainly to saliva droplets which will be blocked, especially if the opposite party is wearing one.

Which is the case for most normal world situation and not a room for of covid19 patients coughing around to let it aerolise for that brief time

              • +1

@astarman: Very true but only in an ideal situation when everyone is doing the right thing.
I live in Melbourne. When I go to Coles, half of the people surround me are not wearing masks properly.
like covering their mouths only but not noses

I bought 2 boxes of DAISO masks at the beginning of this pandemic. But then I find that I need better protection than I thought…

          • @astarman: BFE >95% is only good for dusty environment or hey fever

            • @TanedaR: Dear Taneda,

My apologies for not being able to provide an answer to the question in one of my previous posts.

Information regarding FDA and KATRI approval was what I received (I will double check on the FDA since it's not listed on the FDA website yet. However, our K.STAR mask received FDA approval and the listing number was finally updated on FDA's website).

If you're looking for a KF94 mask, please check this out: https://www.byecovid.com.au/kf94-dust-mask-5-sheets

    • THIS!!

That strap is the dorkiest thing I ever seen

Hey rep, just be aware of the supplier for your business.

The supplier's website (SAERRON COSMETIC) is a porno website.

FDA listing number is also FAKE. The supplier is not registered with FDA.

    • +1

They claim FDA Device Listing Number D415768

I went here and found nothing
      https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfRL/Text…

      • +2

You're correct. Not even the company is registered.

        • -4

          Dear Crazybuyer,

Please click here to access the supplier's website: http://saeromcosmetic.cafe24.com/

As far as I know, the FDA approval was recently obtained and should be updated on the website soon (however, I will double check on this).

That was what happened with our other mask: https://www.byecovid.com.au/kstar-mask (FDA listing number is visible on the FDA website now).

          • @BYECOVID: Hi Rep,

Thanks for the clarification and it's nice to see the correct information about FDA approval has been updated.

          • +5

@BYECOVID: I am Korean living in Melbourne and I can actually read the company web page.
Looks like Saerom cosmetic is producing body, hair and skincare products - not anywhere in the webpage they are claiming that they produce facial masks.
I also looked up on most popular Korean search engine called "NAVER (www.naver.com)" and I only could see one article saying CEO of Saerom cosmetic donated 30,000 dental masks.
However, I could find that in Korea, they are selling "First cure lab" masks - here are some of the links
            https://front.wemakeprice.com/product/1264482340?utm_source=…
            https://smartstore.naver.com/kcompany87/products/5071163724

I am not sure this is legit product or not (because often Chinese make copy of the Korean packaging very convincing) but in Korea, they are selling these masks.

            • @Pzero: Hi Pzero, i thought Korea has banned all masks export since March 6, and only allow KF94 (N95) masks export from June, but not surgical masks.
              Is that true?
              Thanks in advance.

            • @Pzero: I think the first thing to do is to reveal how the banned Korean masks were imported here. As you know, it is illegal to take out large quantities of masks produced in Korea overseas.

          • @BYECOVID: I think your priority is to reveal how you were able to import prohibited Korean masks here. If you are Korean, it is illegal to ship masks produced in Korea in large quantities overseas.

            • @daydreams: South Korean mask manufacturers are permitted to export 10% of their production.

            • @daydreams: easy answer is, these are not made in korean but made in china.

        • It looks like this company shares the same address with another business
          https://www.osongcnf.com.au/about-us

That business use a Korean name but has no relating companies in Korea, interesting.

          • -2

            @TanedaR: Dear Taneda,

ByeCovid's been launched by Osong, which is why we share the same address.

Also, I'd like to apologise for not being able to provide the answers to question on one of my previous posts.

I've been only able to provide information regarding KATRI approval and FDA approval (However, I will double check regarding FDA approval since its not listed on the FDA website yet).

          • +2

@TanedaR: I think it is essential to have ABN listed on the website for every Australian Business. I cannot find any on both website tho

            • @STFU: Hi Crazybuyer,

We definitely have an ABN. I assure you.

I will talk to the web editor about including our ABN on our website.

              Thank you for your comment.

        • +3

          Dodgy company

    • -2

@CrazyBuyer, Prove it as you said. The factory is selling cosmetic products. Their website is using a hosting service called cafe24.com.

the site you referred to might be from your bookmark?

      • Hey huricool, you seem to be quite a knowledgable guy hey!

        https://saeromcos.tradekorea.com/company.do

I got the info from this Korea Trade website. It will not be that hard to find a company website if they are REPUTABLE, and you are not finding their website if you type the supplier name into google. Be smart my friend, do a quick research before being aggressive.

        • Hi mate, I have bought a mask few weeks ago and looking for a good quality mask. As you see my previous comments in other thread, I am frustrated with a poor mask which was popular in Ozbargain and realised TGA approved is not a good mask either.

But I googled the saeromco product and found out they are selling a good one compared to the previous TGA approved deals. However you referred it to a porno site and now you are saying the company is reputable. I don’t know what your point is. It is totally out of topic mate.

          • @[Deactivated]: Hey man, my point is quite clear if you read it carefully.

It's ridiculous when you asked about the origin of my comment but did not look at my answer.

I'm not sure if you are related to the business when you are the only one saying that the product is good. Many people in the post found misleading/incorrect information about the mask.

I do respsect everyone's opinion. So I hope you read the comments before saying 'it's totally out of topic'. Peace.

Nah, thanks to users like @OzBargaïn, who upvotes everything - 35 upvotes just today, but the day is not over yet

      • They actually posted this product less than 3 weeks ago for $6 cheaper, they've jacked up their pricing to cover the "free shipping". Totally misleading deal.

        • -4

          Hi,

In that thread you mentioned, we offered 20% coupon for those that place an order with us for the first time. That coupon has now expired.
          - The original price (without any promotion) is $30 + $9 (shipping).
          - Previous deal: $33 (20% off and including shipping)
          - Current deal: $30 (including shipping and mask strap)

          Hope you understand.

  • Hi Rep,

I found the actual website that is related to the product provided. Please clarify this with the supplier, the products in the picture is manufactured by HAARAZ Cosmetic, NOT SAERRON Cosmetic. They are two completely DIFFERENT companies and hence the KATRI certicate under SAERRON Cosmetic may not be listed as well.

    http://haaraz.com/index.html

  • Funny, last time you posted this product it was $6 cheaper. This isn't a deal, you've jacked up the price to cover your "free shipping". This is OzBargain, not OzInStock.

    • -1

      Hi,

In that thread you mentioned, we offered 20% coupon for those that place an order with us for the first time. That coupon has now expired.
      - The original price (without any promotion) is $30 + $9 (shipping).

      - Current deal: $30 (including shipping and mask strap)

      Hope you understand.

      • Ah, so what you're saying is that this $30 price is the normal price, and the $24 price was with 20% off the normal price of $30. And since your store policy is free shipping for all orders over $30 (says so on your site), this is not a deal, and you're just spamming OzBargain to say your products are in stock again.

        • -1

          Hi Kyanar,

As shown in the homepage, we are offering free shipping on orders above $30 for a limited time.

This is an exclusive deal, which is why I am posting this on OzBargain.

          Hope you understand.

          • @BYECOVID: No I don't understand. Your website doesn't say that shipping is free for orders over $30 for a limited time, it just says shipping is free for orders over $30 in the exact same way every other website with free shipping on min spend does. And it's not an exclusive deal at all, it's your normal price.

            • @[Deactivated]: Hi Kyanar,

Please take a look at the banner.

              https://www.byecovid.com.au/

This offer is available for a limited time.

              • @BYECOVID: The black banner across the top of the page the deal post actually links to, and every other page, doesn't say it's a limited time order.

                • @[Deactivated]: Hi Kyanar,

As we are offering this for a limited time (as stated on my post), this is an exclusive deal (regardless of what's written on the black banner).

                  Thanks.

                  • +1

@BYECOVID: Suggest you go look up the word exclusive.

  • Still waiting delivery from the previous deal so I can't make any comment if the products are good.

  • +1

All masks except for surgical mask cannot be exported in Korea. If a Korean-made mask is sold, it will be either unauthorized or fake.

  • Bought this brand before, rubbish quality and useless for protecting from Covid.

    • if a korean put "made in korea" but its actually from china - youll blame china as well?
but you wont blame the business person and instead blame a country? lol

  • FDA registration is similar to TGA registration, so this still applies. Just substitute FDA where it says TGA/ARTG

ARTG registration means nothing. It just means someone has taken the time to fill in a form. It doesn't mean that it has been tested, or that the TGA approves of the results. It doesn't mean that it's quality is any good or that the TGA approves of it's quality.

I don't know why people even bother saying they have ARTG registration, except for marketing.

And registration is not equal to approval.

Also says on the FDA site: Note: Registration of a device establishment, assignment of a registration number, or listing of a medical device does not in any way denote approval of the establishment or its products by FDA.

  • Why is there so much fake news in OzBargain? Korea has a ban on blown masks but lifted its ban on particulate masks in June (can be exported but requires a licence).

    https://pulsenews.co.kr/view.php?year=2020&no=602302

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recently revised the related notification to allow mask makers to ship 10 percent of their mask production to overseas markets starting June 1.
    https://www.mk.co.kr/news/english/view/2020/06/602302/

    • Yea, so they are allowed to export KF94 (N95) masks but not surgical masks
So where does OP source his "made in Korea" 3-ply surgical masks?
OP has been ignoring my question.

  • North Korea ?last time i got one from Taiwan turned out to be from China. Unfortunately unusable. They expect people to just let it go.

    • Let it go, let it go
      Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care what they're going to say
      Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway

  • Not a Frozen fan but thank you.
