  • I'm still waiting for my order of Kaspersky Total Security that I made in 16/08/20. I received nothing yet and there isn't any information from your said when the delivery will be.

I found mine in the spam. have you checked your spam folder?

Thanks, I checked and was there. I didn't expect that as I received the confirmation with invoice directly to my inbox after I ordered.

  • I'd rather Windows Defender over trend micro any day of the week personally.

  • Good price to let me test it out over longer than the typical trial period

    • FYI, I thought they had access to a special price as it's only 1 yr & only 3 device & only the max product, but it turns out the key didn't work, while their customers service was good, and they were responsive, it cost me approximately 3 hours labour to try, email, reply, re-email, reply, try again, try again, then call trend micro, email, forward correspondence, etc, activate the new key given by Trend Micro, etc.

Trend Micro confirmed they are not a reseller, and that the key was not valid, even though device deal insisted that it was valid in writing.
Further, Trend Micro suggested that buying from them directly, or buying from a legitimate retailer, was the best option.

Outcome. 3 hours down and I have a working license, but devicedeal seems to have made off with the cash without giving any to Trend Micro, so they've done a dodgy, which is to be expected most of the time at such a ridiculously low price point. It seems that it's rather rare for companies (or people) to discount their labor and remain legitimate, there's probably a whole heap of protectionism going on that's counter to the capitalist approach of 'price at what the company or individual chooses to'. I mean, why can't one work for $20 an hour or sell a product for 1/5th of the listed price ? It's a digital delivery of a repeatable product, the only cost is in the setup of the automated systems…

It's idealistic but as a tech who can charge hundreds of dollars an hour, who still occasionally works at 1/10th of the 'able to be charged' amount, eg. charging $20 an hour rather than $200, the machine that is the set of systems out there in the digital and real world remain curiously broken, even if they hint at being somewhat educational.

Maybe I'll invoice devicedeal for my time, given it's impossible to determine if they are working hand in hand with Trend Micro, maybe they'd pay such an invoice. I should try.

Suggested invoice amount for 3 hours labour (at discounted rate): $1050 AUD Ex. GST.

This has been a free thought & may your purchases be less mired in time traps than mine, I actually didn't learn anything from my 3 hours spent, other than it wasn't worth it to purchase the product in the first place, even though both organizations appeared to help. That makes me wonder, is device deal owned my McAfee and taking money to sabotage and take advantage of people who try Trend Micro? Or is it owned by Microsoft or Apple? Is it a just a company run by a crook who doesn't believe in AV, or a is it a business made by a good person who found a way to get lower cost virus protection in the hands of people who otherwise couldn't afford it, to heck with Trend Micro? Ahh, the reflections in the mirror continue ad infinitum, I'll look away from them now.
