  • Would this straight up kill my normal car battery?

    • The 30 amp automatic battery charger is an efficient, water-resistant 8 stage charger, designed to charge most 12 volt GEL, AGM, Lead Acid and Calcium batteries.

With a heavy duty design, it is suitable for 40-550Ah and 650Ah for maintenance (800 to 1,000CCA) making it ideal for workshops, garages and farm use.

  • Why is it that 30A charger uses 20A to charge batteries?😁 looks good though

  • Battery University and a few other sites suggest 0.3C as the recommended charge rate for lead-acid batteries. This charger has a claimed charge current of 30A, suggesting it is ideal for batteries of 100AH and larger. However, a charge rate can be different from 0.3C and still charge batteries reliably and safely.

The product blurb states it is suitable for batteries from 40AH to 550AH.

  • Thunder just rebadge generic gear.

Could be good or could be crap. Touting the pulse feature doesn’t really bode well IMO

  • +1

The 4A and 6A aren't terrible value at $43 and $48 if you just need a trickle charger considering the price of similar ones on eBay
