    Awesome quality kit.

  • Lowest around $20?

    • not for quite some time now.

    • Yeah, last October.

  • +2

$49 for the wowstick seems like a good deal too…

      My wowstick is free ;)

      • +17

I dont think yours is a solid design

        • +8

          No, not around you.

      • +2

        wownub.

      • +1

Is it really a wowstick though?

    • +1

What's the big difference between them? Please

      • +1

there are 2 version of the wow stock, one takes normal batteries (disposable of NIMH), one is recharageable and has lithium bat inside.

    • Thanks for the suggestion, ordered.

I just bought the Hautton kit about a week ago for the same price. It comes with a flex extension and the driver itself is extendable.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Hautton-Precision-Screwdriver-Stai…

    depends what you're working on.

    • i think people likethis because of the smaller form factor.

      • yeah, the case is aluminium too? Good for your backpack if you're doing mobile work.

        Mine's for my bench.

    • How's the extension? I imagine you can only apply very small torque through it.

No good for a furniture size screw into a plank of wood?

      • The fixed extension is as strong as the rest of the driver. It slides out of the handle.

The flex extension is plenty strong enough for torque-wise considering what you'll be working on with it. I wouldn't use it on head studs.

        • Thanks. I meant the flex head. A few times I've needed to get to a furniture screw in a tight space. I've got a fairly flat ratcheting right angle bit driver (not sure what you call it) and half the time it's still too big.

Would love something that can get a philips head into the tightest of spaces via a right angle or flex head

Offset screwdrivers might have to do. The ratchet head really helps tho and so would a flex head

      • Just be clear that the manufacturer specs it for 2nm of torque.

Thanks OP! Bought one. I bought one from eBay a few months back but got a fake one. So was waiting one of the legit ones to go on sale for sometime now.

    • +1

I almost did the same thing lucky I held out.

    • How did you know it was fake?

  • +1

Will this set be able to screw in the backplate of my macbook pro?

    • +3

Depends which model you have these are the screws the kit supports.

      ( PH000 / PH00 / PH0 / PH1 / PH2 ), Hex ( H1.5 / H2.0 ), Torx ( T2 / T3 / T4 / TR5 / TR6 / TR8 / TR10 / TR15 ), Slotted ( 1.5 / 2.0 / 3.0 / 4.0 ), Spanner U2.6, Tri-wing 3, Pozi ( P2 / P5 ), Triangle 2.3),

      • -1

        I think I have the P5 pentalobe.

        • +1

Yep should be fine then. If in doubt you might be better off with the Hautton kit linked above

    • +2

      The answer is YES.
      Macbook screws: use P05 tip
      iphone screws: use P02 tip

    • +1

For a MBP it will likely be a PH00 or P5 screw which are in this kit.

    • +1

I've done a few MBA and MBP models including LCD removals using this exact kit - MBP used P5 for the case, and T3, T4 and T5 for the internal screws. MBA used one of those T bits for the case

  • +1

as a person who owns this, id highly recommend, i paid $28 for these back in the day.
Fantastic quality and very sleek case.

    • Similiar, but it's a different design. A lot of screwdrivers is the quality metal.

      • +2

Looks like both are S2 grade of steel?

        • But one is Wiha, the other is generic.

Sure this is Chinese Wiha rather than the German Wiha, but its not like there is much of a price premium on it.

Also, have you seen the Wera deals here lately, professional level tools ain't cheap.

    • I have this set from Jaycar. It’s decent quality and none of the bits have shredded yet.

  • +3

if you're in WA or VIC this is a reasonable alternative to consider for $5 more (Normal non-promotional price) and you get 48 pieces vs 24

    • Every now and then they will put a set on special too. I paid $21 for this set at the start of August.

  • Grabbed one thanks OP.

  • +1

    too fast!

  • +3

This set is worth it even at full price. Get it

    • +1

Definitely. I got one of these when I was living in Singapore. Had a new Mi Store open up and got them for $19.95. So happy with them. Great design, magnetic holding to case and magnetic tips, rotating base that doesn't wobble around. They are a joy to use every time.

  • Yep, agreed with others. I've two of these, also bought a set for my dad. Great set to have lying about the house.

  • Comon Kogan restock this please

  • +1

All of these that look similar Xiaomi and others all made in same factory in Shenzhen China, under bunch names, toured the factory in 2018. So you can't go wrong on any of them different styles made from same steel.,

From someone who uses these micro drivers all the time they are good quality, if you want the very best can't go past wera.

  • -4

last time I looked stainless steel wasn't grey
