I've been a bit annoyed with it recently (doesn't go back to charge, gets stuck in places it didn't before, and the app recently erased my currently existing map), so hopefully this will make things better.

                                                      @niroshbest: Honestly, no, not really. I wanted to use it for a bit before responding, but a few times it wouldn't even return to the dock or even go back to charge and it's still getting stuck in places because of the 2cm+ difference (which previously wasn't an issue so I don't know why it is now). I think I'll reset the map again and see if that helps. Have you noticed anything good on your end?

                                                        @hullohullo: I see a huge difference in suction power, now it fails to collect most of the debris.
                                                        I dont see any noticeable update with the firmware.

                                                        I thought this update helps to manage schedule cleaning based on room selections eg: every day 8 am - Living Room, every day 8 pm Kitchen. But I'm clearly missing this option.

                                                        Nothing exciting after the update.

                                                          @niroshbest: I noticed that the suction wasn't as good, but thought it might have been my filter. Bummer to know this isn't the case. And yeah, I don't have that update either. Disappointing.

      I'm jealous. I ordered mine on 29 August and it's still with Auspost. I ordered the v9 stick vacuum same time and that got delivered last week. Thanks for the reviews and answers.

                            @Gearbite: Rep - just updated to new firmware 1039 but I can’t see any changes, eg the ‘no mop zone’ option doesn’t exist, no ability to schedule specific zoned/room cleanups, etc.

                              @ShortyX: I just check with dreame team, No mop zone and manual assign room in this update, would be at next update as these features still need more testing. They updated bugs fix and more accurate positioning , automatic update map to improve vacuum positioning, re-positioning will be much better and wont easy to fail, i have tested today. Looks like position much improved which is really good, please let me know if your have any problem, i will happy to pass to dreame team. Carpet boost is avaialble now, should be ready in 3 business day.

    so anybody know the benefit of vslam vs laser distance sensor.
    not sure if vslam is an upgrade or downgrade for the F9.

      I wasn't sure either, but the s6 pure and S5 max both have laser distance so assume that is better.

        I watched some youtube and laser is better for now because its more apparently more accurate, but vslam apparently might become better in the future because video captures more datapoint than a laser so it's able to do more in the future if they can feed it into some AI and it makes itself smarter.

        many companies have vslam so that they can start collecting data so that they can training the software to become better in the future…

        anyways, I ended up buying that F9 so I hope I don't regret it… or at least the bigger bin, suction and features makes up for the dumbness

    F9 arrived today. I'm unable to link my Mi Home app to Google Home. It just says account successfully linked and then nothing. Quick google shows it's happening to other people too.

    Just bit the bullet and ordered the F9. Recently rescued a 5yo Staffy x Kelpie who sheds like crazy and hopefully the F9 will keep our house tidy in between proper weekend cleans. Will be used on timber floors downstairs and carpet upstairs. Now hopefully AusPost don't add too much delays in getting it delivered to me.

    Just got my F9. Ordered it on Friday last week, arrived today so really happy with that. Doing it's first clean at the moment. So far so good, although I'll be very clean to try the new firmware that let's you specify mop/no mop zones
