Any deals on the S5 Max? :)

  • what fish does the screen bring?

    • Chill, just saw it in the columns after I posted.

Are the vacuums disposal? Why only 1 year warranty? Every heard of statutory warranty.

    • -1

No way to enforce ACL… not an Aussie seller?

      • Well that's even worse then.

      • +2

What do you mean? The seller is definitely Australian and is based in Melbourne.

        • -1

Was not aware of this that's why the ? in my comment.

Having said that rack has a valid question around ACL warranty on the Vacuum Cleaner. Xiaomi is definitely not an Australian Manufacturer. Not sure if they have any local presence for warranties under the ACL. Expected median life of a Vacuum Cleaner is 8 years (Google/CNET). What happens when the Vacuum Cleaner fails on the 367th day of purchase?

          • @bigbadboogieman: I am not sure why ppl are negging my comment. So many are asking what brushes are included. Who gives a fk? It probably won't last beyond 12 months. If it would it would be warranted.

            • -3

@rack: Don't worry mate. Negs mean more points for you. the negs make the comment stand out. There are way too many snowflakes (neggers) out there who don't want to face the harsh realities of life. Well atleast not until they get bitten.

I have been through hell and back trying to claim under the ACL with the biggest brand Australian sellers. Started buying warranties since then to avoid the stupid "12 month warranty". These things tend to always break down the next day warranty ends. There is actually a marketing term for it "Planned Obsolescence".

    F9 for $379 is a steal

    • Is F9 the same as the dreame v11? Seems to be 2 names.

      • +3

F9 is a robovac. V11 is hand vac??

        • Yeah in the earlier version of the post, the OP placed the two models in the same word, hence the confusion.

    • Do you have a review of it ? Finding it good ?

      • +2

It's still mapping my house so a bit 'dumb' but it's cleaning power is great. Apparently new firmware coming this month to be able to set 'no mop' zones.

I was waiting for a good price on the Roborock S5 Max, but took the plunge on this and so far so good. No complaints from me for the price.

        • If my 2 bed apartment has lots of stuff on the floor, would it be still worth it using robot vac?
Will it go under dining table n chairs and smart enough to avoid all the legs but still vacuum the area underneath it?

Seems like F9 is the one to get? Or 1C better value?

          • +1

@OzFrugie: In the sense it will make you more aware of leaving sh*t on the floor and making sure you leave the place tidy then yes it's worth it :)

You can set no go zones where you have cables etc like under your computer desk, but you'll find yourself doing a once over before you run it to make sure you don't have cables, socks etc lying around

        • I had the same issue so I just reset the map and it mapped out my apartment the next time I ran it. Hope this helps.

    • Spewing. Got the F9 for $429 in the last Gearbite ebay deal.

      • Any thoughts on the vaccum so far ?

    • I got mine a week or so ago! Buggered I didn't wait longer for this deal.

  • How does 'Xiaomi Mi Robot 1st Gen' compare to 'Xiaomi Mi 1C Robot Vacuum'?
The Xiomi Mi 1C Robot is $293 Delivered with Kogan First Membership (free trial available) kogan.com.au

    • From what I can tell the Mi 1C is the Dreame F9 with a battery half the size. Everything else is basically the same (including the firmware version)… So not a bad deal at $293 as long as your house isn't huge.

      • Yeah. From my online reading the 1C seems like a great product, except for the small battery. I have a tiny apartment so :)

  • what heads does the V11 come with? Couldn't make it out in the description on the ebay page

    • Would also like to know. I imagine it would only come with the soft roller the carpet roller (as on the main website) purchased as an additional is like $60-$80 I think.

  • +1

I'm upgrading from an old $50 kMart vacuum… I have a tiny 1bedroom apartment. Would people recommend a robot or a handheld? (I have 1 cat who sheds hair all year long) Thank you.

    • +2

I would recommend getting the robot as it is life changing. Robot vacuums prolong the interval where you need to do a proper vacuum (I.e vacuuming with the handheld vacuum). So you might use the robot 5 times a week, but only vacuum with the kmart vacuum once every 8 days.

After upgrading the robot then you may choose to get the handheld vacuum like the v11. You might get some cool videos of your cat riding the robot vacuum.

    • Handheld is probably sufficient for such a small area

    • How often do you use your cheapie vacuum?

    • +1

If you're choosing between the V9P and Mi Robot, imo the convenience of not having to vacuum yourself often is worth much more than $80 even for a 1 bedroom apartment and I agree with what puffingmuffin said.

I've had my Mi Robot vacuum for ~3 years now and over that time it's vacuumed the house over 600 times now and probably saved me 300 hours worth of vacuuming (takes the robot about 90min each time for a 4 bedroom house, but I can vacuum by hand faster). It doesn't take much maintenance either, dust the sensors every couple of months and over 3 years I've replaced the main brush once and the side brushes 2 times. You can get reusable aftermarket filters so no need to spend on one-use HEPA filters.

If your cat paws litter outside the litterbox sometimes like mine does, the vacuum can scatter it all over the bathroom and its a huge mess so I only schedule it to vacuum when I'm home.

No mop zone yet for F9. The firmware to include this is apparently being released this month.

    • It will have it as I have it in my test version of firmware.

"PLUSFLASH" is not working while placing the order for " Xiaomi Dreame F9"

        • Sale is between 8pm and 9pm AEDT.

      • +1

👍🏻 Also, any idea on this issue?. The smart map has been deleted from the app!

        • Please wait for the update, it should fix that.

OP, can you please put start at 8PM tonight in Description? Thanks

Does the Dreame F9 work with Google Home?

  • What time exactly this starts?

    • +1

Sale is between 8pm and 9pm AEDT.

  • I wish my Xiaomi Mi Robot had issues so I can buy F9.
Mine is still going strong after 3 years use.

  • +1

Stupid question everyone (am indeed an ozbargain rookie) but what happens if you don’t have an ebay plus account? Are you still eligible for this?

    • +2

I believe this is only for eBay Plus members. They do have a free trial.
eBay run different promotions throughout the year trying to get people to sign up or to use their trial. If you are going to sign up or trial, look for one of these offers… Go here and look at the "LONG RUNNING DEALS" section.

  • Code not working for DREME F9. It says - Looks like that's the wrong code. Anyone ordered successfully?

    • +2

Sale is between 8pm and 9pm AEDT.

    • +2

      It’s ok to be confused

  • Awesome! I've been waiting on an eBay deal for the V11, have a bunch of eBay cards to use up. Rep, can you advise what heads come with it :)

    • I mean by the time you finished inputting your cards, the item may be out of stock.

  • will you guys get cheap air purifier eventually? Bad allergies, and cats are shedding hair cause its heating up and it keeps going in my eyes lmao

If time is not a factor would people suggest the V11 or the T20. They are both similar price/specs. The advantage of the T20 being an interchange battery. The disadvantages being the whole crowd finding process and time.

    • Just tried finding the T20 on gearbest, looks like they don’t have it. So the V11 doesn’t have a removal battery you say?

Edit: found the T20 here. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dreame-t20-cordless-vacuu…

      • Ugh yeah, i realised that my last post was pretty awful grammatically.

The T20 can only be bought through indiegogo. I think the campaign ends in few days.

Comparing like for like, the T20 is slightly cheaper. Once you factor in the extra battery and postage, it becomes slightly more expensive.

The V11 doesnt have a removable battery, although the V11 battery is slightly better.
The T20 comes with an easily swappable battery, and it looks like the wall caddy allows you to charge the extra battery at the same time

The V11 also comes with a soft (hardfloor) roller
The T20 comes with an all surface (hard and carpet) roller.

All the other accessories look about the same.

I would get the T20, if it weren't for the crowdfunding platform.

        • Haha thanks for the explanation! Now I’m torn. A replaceable battery as you mentioned sounds great. Probably have to wait after Christmas till you can order one from gear best.

          • @Flowerbomb: Caved and bought on Indiegogo instead. Link is above. Hopefully it works out well.

            • @Flowerbomb: Hey where is the link? I’d like to buy one too.

              • @maciman992: Hey i can't send you a private message, you might need to enable it.

                • @Flowerbomb: That’s alright thanks I already bought from indegogo. Hopefully it come in November as it says

                  • @maciman992: Yeah no worries. i'm actually quite pleased that we don't have to pay customs tax on this. It's really a good price. Thanks John Stone for the recommendation :)

    F9 or S5?

  • Xiaomi Mi Robot 1st Gen vs DEEBOT 710?

    • was doing the same toss up, only 'major' difference i could find is that the xiaomi has zoning (conflicting reports, though). were you able to dig up anything more concrete?

      • +1

I think the latest firmware on the xiaomi supports it.

        • so is there anything that the deebot beats the xiaomi in?

  • signed up for ebay plus, lets hope there is enough stock.

  • Hey guys, I'm super keen on the Dreame F9.
I was also considering the Viomi V2. Its not on sale to say but regardless do you know they compare to each other in terms of performances?
Couldn't find any video comparaison online

    • I would like to know too, but i just bought the f9 hahaha

      • same boat as well. just pulled the trigger on the f9.

  • Which is smarter tech? The vslam in the F9 or the lidar in the gen 1? I’ve got the f9 but finding it a bit dumb

  • +4

It is unfortunate to see that the S5 max was price bumped to 999 (was 799) today from gearbite. I was looking forward buying at 20% off from 799. Any chance this could happen?

  • +1

    To Gearbite
Most of the people bought vaccums from you guys last week, wouldn't there be some sort of price guarantee? The price dropped about $49 between this one and last week's sale for the Dreamer F9

  • I just signed up for ebay plus as a free trial and applied the code to purchase the Mi monitor but after applying the code it does not work.. Any ideas?

    • +1

      Starts at 8…

      • +1

Cheers.. Yea just saw in one of the comments..

        • but you already bought it at the higher price, so ya kinda stuck now

  • is gearbite xiaomi monitor grey import or local stock?

  • there are zero monitors available?

    • +1

yup! monitors gone already, what a scam smh…

    • back in stock!

      • they are fooling around…if you click at the wrong moment you will pay $599 hahaha

    • Was an error for sec, has been updated.

  • Does anyone have the F9 already and know if it's safe to mop wood floorboards? Wet mopping is not recommended on most wood floors as the water can get in the cracks etc and warp the floorboards but i've also heard the mop function in these isn't too wet.

    • There are 3 levels available when mopping. The highest level doesn't wet the floors that much so the lowest level should be ok.

  • F9 or 1C ?

  • +1

    YES! got a monitor.

  • +1

    Got one!! Woohoo!

  • Got a monitor :D is this AU stock btw? Does not say anywhere on the eBay listing.
