  • Very quick & easy surveys. I’ve withdrawn $60 this year.

Yes. It's not like other sites where they have qualifiers which can waste a significant amount of time. I have never not been paid for a survey.

giving them access to our banking account, isnt it dangerous?

        • I mean it isn't as safe as NOT giving it out but it's probably similar safety to pocketbook, moneybrillant apps and such

        • most of us have more then one account, i keep a few for traval that im not using atm lol. As above also, you can also withdraw to a seperate account.

    • How much time would you say you've put in to get the $60?

      • I don't think i have spent any longer then 2mins on a survey but you only get them weekly from what i have seen.

  • Thanks OP

Looks like a great idea but my concern is giving an organisation my internet banking details to log in.

In the words of Randy Jackson, yeah that's a no from me dawg

    • my concern is giving an organisation my internet banking details to log in.

      What do you mean?

      • To link your bank account you have to provide your internet banking details.

        • It's permission to read your bank account details, it's used for the other feaures for the site. I used a diffrent account that's not my primary account.

You also use a diffrent account to withdraw.

    • Yeah, not sure why we can't just give them a bsb and account number.

      • I didn't personally got through all of the FAQ but I guess this is their business model

      • It's used to link there other features. It's not just a earning website.

and a hard no from me

You need to give up your banking username and password for each bank account you link.

Even with the banking level security claims this is a huge red flag. With this information Yodlee/Humaniti has full access to your account and could potentially drain the funds. Of course you should be protected by the law in such a situation, but resolving it could take time while you are stuck out of pocket. This is major concern and there are many disputes going currently as to how it should be regulated and who is liable for any issues that arise.

Who knew all it took to get people to send a shady third party their banking passwords was ~$60 AUD a year?

not a good idea to give out your online banking login details. i linked my bankwest account to a finance app (similar to beam.it) a couple of years back. got a message from bankwest saying to change my login password immediately or i wouldn't be covered in the event of any losses

  • Probably best to have a bit more context. Humaniti also is a financial summary "app" / website. They want to make a one stop overview for all your accounts, investments and super. Even loyalty points. So it's not just a survey site.

    Hi,

My name is Christian, I am the CTO at Humaniti. (Proof here and here)

To dispel some myths - we are a personal finance app, and a consumer data company. We see value in consumer insights and strongly believe you should share in that too. But we also understand and respect your privacy. That's why we will NEVER sell your personally identifiable information. We do not sell or market to you, we are purely about doing research with Australian consumers, and helping them get more financially organised along the way.

We DO NOT use Yodlee and never have. We use illion, who are also used by all the major banks, and we do not store your bank login details.

You are assigned surveys based on your profile and not everyone will get the same survey. Some clients want to survey males under 30. Others want to hear from families with children. And others want to hear from people have shopped at certain grocery retailers in the past 6 weeks. So while it is possible / allowed that you link a non-primary account, you will definitely have more survey opportunities if you have your main account linked (if $$ for surveys is what you want).

The more accounts you link, the more surveys you get, and the more useful your finance dashboard will be.

    Does that help?

    • Why not just ask for BSB Account number to payout?

  • Thanks OP, I signed up using the random referral code and completed the welcome survey.. but my balance is only $5 instead of $10 ? or do they take certain time to credit the referral bonus ?

Also, do you receive an email when there's a new survey every week or should we login and keep checking every day ?

    • You'll get an email when a new survey is available. This can happen at anytime, and a survey will be closed when we have enough respondents.

You are correct - we have a $5 welcome survey. You said you signed up with a random referral code - THAT person would have been credited with $10.

There's no upper limit, but we do have some criteria around referrals. Basically it needs to be a new person, who has linked their primary account.

We've been bitten previously where people would just sign up multiple times with the same details. While I admire their enthusiasm and persistence, we'd go out of business pretty quick if that was tolerated.

      • So the referees won’t get the $5 signup bonus ?

        • +1

We are getting into semantics, which can be dangerous.

I'm not sure I understand - there isn't a conditional "bonus" as such when you sign up.

I'm not a big fan of these anyway. Say on Monday, we offered $2. And then on next day, we had a "special Tuesday" offer of $4 - you just make the Monday people angry…

The first survey is slightly different and is (one of) the reasons why its slightly higher at $5.

Hi spk. I am Ben, the CEO of Humaniti.

To clarify. When you sign up and complete your welcome survey, you get $5.00 in your account (it is the referer who gets $10). Then you start receiving more surveys each week to get more $$.

When you refer people (once you have signed up) you get $10 for everyone you refer who joins. You can refer as many people as you like and build your bank quickly. This referral payment can take up to 2 weeks as we have to do checks and balances to avoid scammers.

          I hope this helps.

          • @Ben Dixon: This is much clear now, thanks for the response Ben.

    • Your welcome, it's a great site never had any issues at all with it.

  • I had a tech issues doing 2 surveys before Christmas, submitted a request on 17-Dec and they still hasn’t resolved it.

    Pathetic customer experience

  • I joined this last weekend and used someone’s referral, hope they received their bonus. I think it’s nearly the best survey group around, and I’ve signed up to quite a few! Payment for surveys are quite decent compared to some others. And you don’t get screened out either (unless I’ve just been lucky)

  • @Ben Dixon - I signed up last year, didn't get any surveys for ages and then suddenly received a flurry a few weeks ago.. and now they seem to have stopped. Is there anything I can do to make this more consistent? Hard to choose you over Octopus/Pureprofiles right now

  • +3

Octopus group is better for surveys. Better payout and no need to give out bank login.

  • i only got $3.00 for my first survery…boo

    • Same for me when I signed up about a month ago.
