Citi Rewards Credit Card - $500 eVoucher ($3000 Spend First 90 Days) + $99 Annual Fee 1st Year ($200 Thereafter) @ Citibank

570

Citi Rewards credit card - get ab e-voucher offer of $500 when you spend $3000 in the first 90 days. There is a $99 annual fee in the first year but reverts back to $200 in the second year. Minimum credit is $6000 and you must earn over $35k to apply. I could not find any other restrictions. I think think this is better than their Flybuys deal and it doesn't say that you can't apply for both cards.

May be because Citi is known for rejecting majority applications…

        Lol they scammed us

        • Wouldnt be the first time banks did this.

    • Yup just got my voucher. It should be a 1 month+ wait since I hit the minimum spend.

Ok, so I have received an email with the voucher code. I follow the link and add my code plus email as requested then - nothing. No help options either, anyone else having this problem??

    • Same with me. Broken website….?

    • Same here. The furthest I've gotten to is selecting which giftcard I wanted then it sends me back to the first page again.

    • Yep, I also just got the link and having trouble.

When on Chrome or Safari, I can't even get past the first page.

When on internet explorer, I can get past the first page and select my voucher of choice but then it does an error 500.

I've chatted with them online and said I'm not the only one with issues and they said to email it to that support address others have listed.

Poor form from Citibank. I don't believe it is an innocent mistake and they are hoping non tech savy people will either give up or cant be bothered to follow through.

      • chrome failed twice for me. i used IE and it worked. up to 5 days before voucher arrives. i hope it's 5 minutes as i need to go to coles tonight.

        • Nice. Did you get the confirmation email for the voucher?

It only allows me to get to the final page in IE and then gives me an error.

Edit: It's working now even on Chrome.

  • Same here. Can't get past the first page.
    Poor form indeed :(

It is working now guys, redeemed the voucher and got the below msg :)

Thank you for submitting your claim request. Please allow up to 5 days to receive your reward. Please contact our customer support if you have any questions.

    • Thanks, all good here now

    • Have you received the gift card that you redeemed/ selected?

    • Since you’ve already received the retailer’s GC, will you be canceling the CC immediately? Hope they won’t cancel the JB GC I picked out.

  • +1

i received the e-voucher immediately after paying my 2nd statement and combined with my 1st payment made up the >3k spent.

so i guess citi wants you to spend and pay the $3k first before rewarding you the voucher.

  • I’ve redeemed the $500 voucher at citi’s website, received the JB voucher but haven’t spent it at JB Hifi yet. Shouldn’t be an issue if I cancel the card now yeah?

    • Can you please share how long the JB Hifi card provided is valid. Thanks.

      • According to the JB terms and conditions which I read this afternoon, there is no expiry date on any of their GCs.

        • Thanks @Flowerbomb

  • What is gift card validity?

    • For my account, I had to redeem it with citi and state my preferred retailer by 9 June 2021. The subsequent jbhifi gc I redeemed, did not have an expiry date.
