Shame I didn't see this the other day when I paid $105 at centrecom

  • Does it work in conjunction with another already existed 16gb ram in a window laptop (Dell)?

you need to check what is already in your laptop and if there are slots available.

    • I'm in the same boat. I have a Dell with an existing 8gb DDR4 ram with a second SODIMM slot thats free. Can I buy one and put it in the second slot for 24gb or ram or am I better off buying two of these for 32gb?

      • Search for the model code of the SODIMM and then use the Crucial site to check compatibility with your Dell.
Then you'll need to check your Dell laptop model and ensure it doesn't require matched RAM.

use this to find what ram you need.

the asus website had a mistake and i bought the wrong ram twice. Eventually I brought it into a store and the guy eyeballed the label on the ram and got what I needed.

I felt silly. I could have done that. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.

      • Cheers, dodged a bullet there. This ram wasn't compatable. Thanks for that.

Good price, paid $120 on Amazon just a few months ago. Worked fine at 2666 MHz speeds in my Dell and enabled dual channel with the 16GB stick already present.

If the model# is correct, then the description is incorrect and this is actually dual-ranked not single ranked. (good)

Wow, I didn't realise how cheap RAM had become - you wouldn't know it by speccing up a Macbook.

Any thoughts on a good lightweight laptop that could be upgraded with this and a 1TB SSD?

    • Metabox make some.

    • Thanks to rising Aussie dollar.

  • does dual channel make a difference nowadays?

does increasing ram make a huge difference, if yes in which activities ?

i know pretty dumb questions but i havent built a pc since 2004 but do have an r1 alienware alpha kicking around

Cheaper than those older DDR3L that I'm after 😭😭😭

Yeah I’m also after some old ddr3 sodimm sticks. Wish they were this cheap haha

  • I hope it works fine in my acer nitro 5

I got the exact kit CT16G4SFD8266 16gb Crucial 2666 DDR4 SODIMM for my DS1618+ and it works perfectly (brought me up to 20gb ram)

  • Cheap RAM - available
Now need to find cheap CPU & MB

  • Laptop SODIMM appears sold out on my end.

  • Missed out, would have pulled the pin for that price.. What's the chance i take my 1hr walk before returning to cell block 4 here in Melbourne and they have fresh stock?

    • Was just checking progress of my order and noticed laptop ram back in stock if you're still interested.

      • Legend, thanks for letting me know…

  • Received mine today after a trip to the post office to pay the postage that Shopping Square forgot to include. Nice work Shopping Square.

    • I am wondering if I am in the same boat. I haven't received mine. opened a PayPal dispute and SS gave me a tracking number, it's been sitting at some random post office since 17th. maybe SS forgot to pay AusPost bill

I am not going to spend hours on the phone with AusPost to retrieve it. if I don't get it, I'll demand money back.

    • received mine today after seller lodged an AusPost case on 28th. I don't know what went on in that case, I wasn't part of it. But package was delivered swiftly afterwards
