[SUBS, Prime] Knives Out, Bloodshot, Jumanji, Dolittle + More @ Prime Video

16234

Seems like Amazon has added a few new movies, free with prime subscription. This includes:
Knives Out
Bloodshot
Jumanji: The next level (2019)
Dolittle
Cats (I know it's crap)
21 Bridges
Charlie's angels

    • It looks like you've done it correctly, just make sure you then switch your front page to 'new'

      See here

    REEEEEEEEEEEEE!

    I love seeing SUBS posts

  • +1

Just watched knives out, good movie!

"New song by Nicki Minaj! FREE with a Spotify subscription!"

  • +4

there are 3,561 movies on Netflix that are "free" should we have posts for that ………………….

  • can someone shed some light on amazon prime video, if we purchase the usa based subscription and use a vpn, will we be able to get access to the vastly superior usa list of movies? (i have heard that it you cannot use prime shipping aus if you buy the american one which is understandable, but as far as only using it for prime video and getting access to the usa prime video, will it work?)

  • +5

I am thinking of making post tomorrow of upcoming Netflix, Disney+, even free to air movies on SBS ..

  • +4

Seems to me that these type of posts stay up purely on whether OP is trolling or legitamately thinks this is a good deal. Rules do not apply.

    • +1

As it stands this post meets the rules. It's the negs that are against the current rules, and I agree, it seems like everyone just wants this to go away.

  • +2

have moved over to Binge, got 6 months on Telstra so I dumped Netflix,Stan,Disney and Prime for the time being.

Enough content on Binge…. Beats Prime hands down, but let's face it Prime is a freeby that comes with Amazon delivery.

I should neg deal for just mentioning Cats. I lasted 5 minutes watching it, the opening sequence is like listening to a cat being tortured.

    • +3

Lol let's just give the idiot who pretty much destroyed our internet even more money so his cancerous Bullshit dinosaur business stays a float.

  • Binge has Knives out, Doolittle and cats:)

  • +4

Not a bargain, and those movies have been on Prime for a while.

  • Guys I have no idea what all you are saying about no deal and it's a subscription. This costs like $50 for a whole year. It is free. You pay $50 for free shipping. This is just a bonus to that. I pay like $240 a year to netflix. So this is still a deal so I have no idea why your all so annoyed with this. If it was a netflix post I get it totally.

    • +11

If the post was a reminder that your Amazon Prime subscription included access to streaming movies, then that's probably OK once every 6 months, but in context, the OP is highlighting the fact that 7 specific movies were added to Prime which sets an annoying precedent - one which means any movies added to any streaming service warrant a post. You've mixed outcome with intent.

      • +2

I see your point. I might have jumped the gun this time. I now understand the post more clearly. Ty.

        • +3

No probs - it was easy to confuse the matter as the comments drifted away from the detail of the OP's post very quickly. This is actually a microcosmic example of what happens in media today… the commentary becomes the dominant rhetoric and the intent of the original statement is both lost and ultimately irrelevant - the media and masses have succeeded in warping the message to serve their own purposes ;)

  • +2

Wait till you see my Netflix, Stan and Binge post! I heard Kayo has added live sports, also.

  • +1

Most of the movies if not all on Streaming services like Prime are in 1080p only. You have to rent or buy them to actually get 4K or Dolby Vision/HDR. Either that or 4K Blu-ray.

  • Guys, this is a deal. I literally paid $6.99 on google movies for two of the listed titles (Jumangi and Knives Out) two weeks ago as they were NEW movies which I "did not expect" to be listed on a subscription service so soon! The fact that new movies like these are listed, I would submit, makes this a deal!

Users who wish to block "Additions to Subscription Services" can do so by adding SUBS to their deals customisation.

This is not just about individual users and having logged in account to block the contents. Users are broader and cannot be logged in to block this kind of post. This kind of post undermines the whole website's content.

    Post relates to forum.

    • +1

      So does GamePass.

    • Users who wish to block "Additions to Subscription Services" can do so by adding SUBS to their deals customisation.

Should be an opt-in thing where on your profile you can tick which subscription services you have so you don't see any irrelevant posts.

Don't need a bunch of posts about new movies added/games pass additions flooding the site especially for people who aren't logged into the site as it buries the actual deals.

  • +2

Are we going to have a bargain everytime Netflix has a new movie too?

  • I think this is a good post for some to keep busy on the weekends, but btw Cats is next level crap lol

  • +5

Sorry OP - appreciate the effort, but this doesn't belong on OzB.

  • This crap, along with the games lineup on ps+ and xbox game pass subscription does not belong on ozbargain

  • +5

Ch9 news is free on FTA is not a deal, neither is this

  • I got Prime for same price as a delivery i was going to pay just so I can watch The Boys but also forgot they had movies. Thanks!

  • +4

This is not a deal - if i had more time i should start posting updates to all the streaming services every week with their new shows just to get votes. Then we can see how long the mods will keep on accepting these "deals"

    • Do it.

  • -1

    Brilliant deal, thanks.

I pay for Prime for free delivery, so awareness of these movies is a nice surprise.

It's not like I'm literally subscribing to a paid service such as GamePass for the sole purpose of games as a service and then expecting people to agree that games being added to that service is a bargain. Imagine that!! 😂

  • +1

If we included every new release on a subscription service as a deal (be it movies, TV, games, music), then we would have absolutely no room for the actual bargains.

    • PS Plus content ok?

  • -2

I love how on all of these types of posts people complain that "soon the front page will be filled with spammy subs posts" and "urgh why don't I just post every new Netflix release" yet it still hasn't happened. People have common sense and will post and upvote things that are actually useful.

  • +1

I love that my negative vote has been removed due to "inappropriate use of negative vote". Not inappropriate at all.
This is not a 'deal' in any way shape or form.

    • -1

      160 people disagree with you

      • -1

        So?

      • wakie: About one third of the negs related to this deal have been removed through moderation. In addition, just because someone does not think this is a deal (myself included) does not mean they will supply a negative vote.

In the end I decided not to neg because currently this post does not break the rules, despite my misgivings regarding this kind of posting. If you look at the discussion re: sub posting - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/510579
you will find the community is closer to a 50/50 split on whether such [SUB] posts belong on the deals page.

Also, just because you disagree with another persons point of view; this does not make your opinion superior.

        • All valid points. Notice the PS Plus posts only get upvotes? It's in the same category as these sort of deals.

  • Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
    Little Women
    Bad Boys 4 Life
    The Lighthouse

How is this considered a bargain? By this basis every tittle added to Nextflix, Stan or Foxtel should be included. This is a subscription service which has titles added and removed.

Must say I am keen to watch Knives Out, and DO have Amazon Prime. However I dont believe this should be posted as a deal.
