Why not click on the link and read the reviews? Over 4000 of them..

Why because I trust OzBargain community and not a bot or paid reviews on Amazon.

Probably needs a cage as well so it doesn’t dent the roof??

    • Depends on what you intend to store. Good for soft stuff, IE sleeping bags, sleeping mats, pillows, blankets, clothings, when travelling.

  • Awesome thanks, looks great for the price grabbed one.

  • Got one. Not entirely sure why, but regardless - thanks OP!

  • Read the 1 star reviews. Not waterproof, straps break, seems to require a rack over roof racks, non lockable etc

    • It does say in the description that you need to have roof racks and preferably on all four sides.

    • Yes ideally you want a roof tray, although I've seen pics on the ebay ones where they've put a non slip mat directly on the roof, and the bag on that with the straps through the doors :)

If you want to tick all the boxes on your list you need a roof box but it's not going to be $45

  • I have something similar of a different brand. Great for camping. We have a roof basket and I put this in the basket then fill it with stuff that didn't fit in the boot like camping chairs. Cooking utensils, blankets and all sorts.

  • ordered.
than after reading contradictory reviews, cancelled it.

few people claiming that they have used this bag in huricanes, snow storms and rains and it held upto its promise.
few people are saying it destroyed their things.

since all of them are from different parts of the world, so it could be that they are getting different products.

am out. will use willy bin bags instead.

Water ingress on rooftop bags normally happens through the zipper. Theres thousands of people happy with it and had no water, so its likely some people didnt fold the zip cover flap down properly or had the bag around the wrong way with the zipper at the front and not the back. Also how its packed will make a difference, if the side walls are laying down flat it will allow water to be forced in the zip.

If you have something that absolutely cant get wet like an electric chainsaw, put it in another bag first.

  • Ordered, appears to be great value and a almost a perfect fit for my platform. Thanks OP

  • The way the price of this has been coming down, by Christmas it will be free.

    • I had a good laugh when I first read this comment… But it appears to be on course!

  • Is this a good one? Was looking for a set of roof storage but my car only fits 2 bar system.

    • Make sure to clean the roof. Speed limit on the bag states 97km/h so not sure about 110km/h roads; might scratch the roof. Other than that should strap fine.

    • Thanks! Bought two more to get my average price down to under $30.

Not entirely sure why, but I've got a couple Chrissie presents sorted for SUV'ers…

    • I'm waiting for $10 next month
