Don't forget you can use iTunes gift card to pay for a lot of services up front, like Disney+ a year ahead for $90 minus 15% off with these cards. Netflix doesn't offer this payment method, but plenty of other services do.

Price compare at office works and get 19.25% off iTunes :)

      • Yes that's exactly what I'll be doing!

      • Do they price match okay?

        • if you are near to a store, just go in and price match there instead of calling up.

either way, be prepared to wait because you might encounter someone who doesn't know how to do a price beat e.g. work a simple calculator

If you signed up through iTunes before Netflix went to direct payment then it's still possible. I do mine this way.

Edit: I should add you can't prepay through iTunes, it's still a monthly charge. But, if you top up your iTunes account whenever these cards come on sale then it looks after itself.

      • Or just buy a year ahead in credit and forget about it. If Netflix pulls the offer you can spend it on another service instead.

Can also do Microsoft 365 subscription billed via Apple store.

    • What other services can you pay for?

      • +1

Apple TV+, iCloud storage, Apple Music (and family plan with six slots), Stan. Kayo Sports probably still accepts iTunes, I haven't checked. It'd be handy if there was a master list of what you can pay for with iTunes credit.

        • Yes agree was hoping you knew of one but that definitely would have been handy

Why would one still pays the ‘owed money’ with iTunes gift cards if they know it is a scam? Enough of these iTunes gift cards and ATO comments already.

Remember back when SunRice was on sale, their Jasmine Brown Rice was also on sale?? Those were the days…. Can anyone recommend a good Brown Rice deal?

    • +1

Sunrice don’t make Jasmine Brown Rice anymore (at least I no longer see them at ColesWorth). Those were the sh!t! It was not as hard as regular brown rice and I liked it a lot. Now I just mix brown rice with white rice to make brown rice more edible.

  • Says Haagen Dazs 4pk but the image in the catalogue indicates it's a 3pk Can anyone confirm?

  • At my local Coles the $10 Sunrice was marked as 40% off $16 … fail.

Great, did you get it for free?

      • If you believe that's grounds for getting something for free, best of luck to you.

        • +1

Thank you. The grounds are that the item is in the catalogue priced at $10 - as shown by OP and I have checked. There is a voluntary Scanning code of Practice to which both Coles and Woolworths are signatories. Coles' ‘Our promise to Price Scanning policy is stated on their website.
https://www.coles.com.au/customer-care and from which I quote.
          "What is a scanning error?
A scanning error occurs when an item has been scanned, or the correct PLU (Price Look Up) number entered, and a price higher than the advertised or ticketed price displays at the checkout or on the receipt.
If a single item scans at a higher price than the advertised or ticketed shelf price for that item, we will give you that item FREE." Their emphasis.
If you purchased the rice and still have the receipt you should get your $16 back and keep the rice. You are welcome.

            @Yola:

            If you purchased the rice

            Nope, didn't purchase any rice.

            still have the receipt

            Nope, didn't purchase any rice.

you should get your $16 back

            Nope, didn't purchase any rice.

And the rice was not $16 on sale. It was $10, which was marked as 40% off $16. Which is a fail because mathematics.

            You are welcome.

Nope, but have a good night.

          • @Yola: Not sure why you got down voted but I love it when an item I scan in is higher than the advertised price I expected it to be. For me that is basically a free item. The last time that happened to me was a few weeks back when I was getting some Haloumi cheese for $18 (700gm) and it came up as $20.
After I paid for it at self checkout I just went to the info counter and got my money back straight away.

            • @danielh: Thank you, I love it too. It's also a good memory exercise to remember all the prices the items should be. The supermarkets are actually much better at getting the prices correct than a few years ago. It's amazing how many people do not pay attention and the incorrect price is charged over and over again.
