  • 5% price beat at OW = $174.78

    • My local gave me a lot of resistance when I tried to price match Harris on Amazon a couple weeks ago. but they did in the end!

manager quoted a lot of what I thought was nonsense before he caved..

Has others had this same experience?

      • They price beat telstra at $120 2 years ago with no resistance. Might be more targeted at Amazon ?

Had these for years.. I'm still happy with them

    • +3

Really happy with these after 4 years.

The plastic on my earpads started peeling off badly after 4 years so I ordered a new pair for $15.

The noise cancelling is the only complain which is pretty bad. It's really subpar.

      • +1

Do you mind sharing where you got the new earpads from (I'm assuming third-party for the price)?

I've got the original Backbeat Pro model and one of my pads has split on the seam (no peeling so far). I'd been looking at https://www.amazon.com.au/Replacement-Plantronics-BackBeat-H… but thought $28 was a bit steep.

I had same story. jus ordered some off eBay. they fit fine

        • +1

Mine (BBP2) split as well (due to sitting in an hot room in a heat wave). Bought the replacement ones from eBay iirc.

        • I ordered off AliExpress. Unfortunately, I think the shipping times have become quite prohibitive due to Covid.

          An example https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001162800149.html

I find the noise cancelling ok, it's not Sony or Bose quality, but these are half the price.

I've still got the original model and it's still working fine. One feature not widely known is that it supports the AptX Low Latency codec. Get a cheap Bluetooth transmitter from EBay and you can watch tv without lip-sync issues.

  • bought mine for $160 3+ years ago
good sound quality, NR is weak. alright on a plane as it cuts low frequency good, but you will hear people talking next to you rather clearly
sold mine, bought V-Moda Crossfade Wireless, a huge step up in sound quality, and can be found at around the same price on Amazon sales frok time to time. no NR. but in my usage I would rather have no NR and good sound than ok everything

  • Good, but I find it's bass to be a bit muddy…sorry!

    • If you mean it's got good strong bass, yes it does.

      • Bass is muddy. Not as good (clear) as some other headphones that I have.

        • Which headphones? I think in the same price range, the Plantronic Backbeat Pro 2 is pretty good.

  • I am waiting for Fidelion x2h3 sale. I want to get a pair of open back headphones.
