need the 20% off tgg & bing lee sales to return, overall without appliance central offering 15%-20% capped deals each month, the deals would be pretty poor from the major retailers if we relied on them

65S8 seems so cheap compared to the 65R8 when that was around? Any idea on the differences?
pretty sure R8 was much better, S8 is just base model, smart marketing to confuse people, see comments here from previous deal, personally would go LG, Samsung base models over Hisense base
Motion rate of 100 vs 200 on R8, there may be some other differences.
Spec-wise S8 is similar to R6, Q8 is similar to R8 (or better because it has proper local dimming).
I don't see Ethernet port on the LG TV spec. Is this correct? Wifi connection only?
If you're looking at the LG 65UN7300, there is an Ethernet port on the rear. Often retailers don't show all the specs on their site, but if you check it on the LG site it shows there is one.

At those prices which tv do you go? For tv and movie and sport watching in low light large room
s8 all day. lg has worst black levels and has light bleed around edges
… as per usual, not shipping to WA :(
