Galax GeForce GTX 1650 Super EX (1-Click OC) 4GB Graphics Card $199 + Shipping @ Shopping Express

1100

This is a graphics card.

Should be ~$11 shipping to most addresses which is still ~$30 cheaper than the current Umart deal, and possibly an all-time low for this card.

Initially mentioned by magicmoose in the comments of another deal.

I grabbed this about a month ago for $239, and it's blown me away (for the price)
I was eyeing the RX570 and RX580, but pulled the trigger on this.

After seeing the nvidia releases (GTX 1650/1660/Super/ti) they all seemed underwhelming, so I didn't pay attention when this came out.
But this prick is a dark horse lol
The memory overclocked +1500MHz, I've left it on +1,000MHz cos I couldn't find much info for long term use yet.
Also an easy +100MHz clock speed.
But even without it, it handles anything at 1080p

Been playing Control, Doom Eternal and Borderlands 3 just fine.
Paired with a Ryzen 3 3200G, and upgrading from the internal Vega 8, its been great!
Best no frills budget card on the market right now I reckon!

ETA: I should note, I've never owned a Galax branded anything before, so I'm not sure what to expect there.

    • Is it 60fps on like ultra settings?

      • Nah, sorry haha
It's 60fps on pretty much any game if you lower the graphics, or go 720p
But Control (DX11) for instance, I run no MSAA, volumetric lighting on medium, and everything else is high/ultra
        Get stable 30-60fps

How I just buy 2 cards, sell the other one (hopefully for even more money considering the current bloated secondhand market) and save $10 on shipping??

Paid peak covid price $250 in June paired with Ryzen 3300X budget build. The only thing is that it has no back plate. Looking at getting a custom ARGB back plate. If aesthetics does not bother you.

    It's in an ATX case.

    Love the Anne Pro 2.

I read reviews that GTX 1650 Super is not as hot as the Radeon equivalent. It has less cores but also less heat.

  • to be honest this may be the only card you need if you are waiting for 3000

you'll get a lot of quality gaming done until dust settles on 3000 a bit and prices go down and drivers get polished etc.

  • Thinking of using this in a HTPC that would run 4k movies and light gaming ( overcooked and other couch games) Overkill? or should i look for a lower priced gpu?

    • A lot of couch games will run fine even on semi-recent integrated graphics. I've run Overcooked and Death Squared on the dedicated graphics of an i3 7100 with no issues at 1080p. Not sure how much more demanding 4k would be.

Anything much cheaper than this card won't be a huge step up from integrated graphics anyway. If you've already got the CPU and it has dedicated graphics, give it a try and see how it goes. If it's not very good, keep a lookout for cards around this price. This one is sold out but I imagine the price of cards in general will continue to lower over the next couple of months.

  • I had always considered the RX570 as the budget GPU king, however with this deal coming along, this GTX 1650S takes the lead imo

This card comes at basically the same price ($210), except it's 27% faster, and comes along with the usual Nvidia GPU benefits; More support in apps such as Premiere and OBS (As well as many other apps which seem to favour Nvidia)

    • Plus nvidia gamestream / moonlight stream which is a requirement for some people

  • OC it to 1800 MHz!
