"The current best deal in the telco market"

Big claims for a first post, especially when you're looking for referral credit. How about we let the voting buttons decide?

    • -1

I didn't publish my referral credit so I'm not desperate
And yes, that's my honest personal opinion
Ozbargainers have the freedom to agree or disagree

  • +9

Please post else where. Don't need referral spams here. Much better deal here -> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/563987

How is that a better deal? Depends on your usage…
100GB for $38 after six months?

If you're travelling on the train everyday then it is value for money but if you use wi fi 80% of the time 20Gb per month is enough

      • +6

Same applies to you after 12 months. After 6 months, you sim hop. In your case, after 12 months you have to sim hop.

Want something for 12 months? Then Boost Mobile, where you can get 240gb over 12 months for $240-$250 regularly. Which is on Telstra Network as well.

        • -7

I'd prefer to sim hop after 12 months.
Much better than getting the deal for only 6 months.

You're locked in for the boost plan for 12 months if you get that deal. The market will also change over a year. I've done thorough research on mobile plans. It is also $24-$34 more expensive vs the circles life deal. $216 for 12 months for the plan I have posted

I have the flexibility to leave my Circles life plan now if I want but I'm satisfied so I will not.

My usage on my former Optus 30GB sim only plan did not warrant me staying whilst I was paying $39 per month. I've cut my monthly bill by more than half with Circles Life

120GB for the same price at $18pm is objectively a better deal than 20GB at $18pm - especially is the same product, on the same network.

Whether everyone needs no more than 20GB pm - that's subjective.

I think this is a better deal - $25 per month no contract prepaid for 23gb of data but you’re on Telstra instead of Optus..

    • It’s Telstra wholesale though so pretty much the same coverage as Optus. (Making this plan a better deal)

    • -2

23gb of data is only for activation relating to one month, reverts to standard data from second month onwards. Not worth the hassle of porting in and out.

  • +6

Hassle free porting? I beg to differ

    • -3

It took me less than a day to port out from optus to circles life lol

      • What about porting away?

        • -1

I'll find out in 12 months time
          Will probably be more lengthy

          • @Djpumpthebeat: I will be porting out in 5 months ;)

Why would you need loads of data if you use wi fi intermittently? It's all a gimmick to increase telcos ARPU's. 20GB per month is sufficient if you use cellular and wifi combined

      • Literally who cares why, if it's the same price for more of something than it is for a lesser amount, you are the fool to not take more.

The various other 50-120GB / $18pm ($28pm after honeymoon) offer is much better bargain than the OP standard deal, being a limited time and all that. For this reason, I don't think OPs post is current best deal.

I'm also wary of the port out stories I repeatedly read on this site.

    • +3

OP’s deal is obviously NOT the best deal around.

The Circles Life Finder Exclusives shared by @recession1 above are much better.

Same $28 p/m price but with 1000% more monthly data for the first 6 months OR if you don’t need the 200gb monthly data then save yourself $10 and pay only $18 p/m for the one of the other better data deals mentioned in the comments here.

It's not a question about value. It's a question about how much time and effort you want to deal with this company when you do want to port out.

    Can't port out
    Lost number
Being charged even after you've cancelled

Yes you can go tio, etcetc and follow some sort of recipe that someone mentioned to get out. But why should it be this difficult? It's the same story as the good guys commercial gift card offer. Dodgy companies.

    • Why not let Kogan or Optus port you out a week before end?

      • +1

Feel free to use the search function here (or just google).

Even the simplest, most common sense way to port out like you said, takes months. Some people lost their numbers too.

        https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ozbargain.com.au/node/51003…

        • Yikes, how do i cancel my order heh

          Sounds very dodgy

  • Better deals with jbhifi when includes a gift card which sell off

The current best deal in the telco market

Not even their best deal…by a long shot.

    Reliable, hassle-free porting process

This has to be a joke, right?

    Network powered by Optus

Look, I guess that is objectively true, though I wouldn't brag.

I switched from Optus and have never been happier

Really? The happiest you've ever been in your life was the moment you switched telco providers?
