Ryzen 9 3900X | MSI RTX 3080 10GB PC: $2545 + Delivery @ TechFast

2480
3900X-3080-LAUNCH

Hi folks,

Wow, busy couple of days! Thanks to everyone who has ordered so far. Due to popular demand, here's the same base spec as Friday's launch deal, with a Ryzen 9 3900X and the PSU bumped up to the Giga Aorus 850 Gold as per recommended pairing. This will run well on the B550 Gaming X, and upgrades to X570 (Biostar GTA) and X570 WiFi (likely Asus Tuf WiFi or equivalent) are available.

You will be buying this with the MSI Ventus 3X OC shipment, scheduled to arrive in October. As with the Gigabyte October cards, there's no fixed date for GPU delivery as yet, so systems will ship as soon as they're ready after the cards arrive. You're locking in the earliest available shipping date.

If you bought one of the 3600 or 3700X systems and would like to upgrade, please email [email protected] and we can issue an invoice. The upgrade will work out the same as this pricing according to what CPU you've ordered, so there's no need to reorder or go back in queue. The PSU upgrade will be included.

Due to how we're allocating GPU stock internally, the Gigabyte cards aren't available with this new PC, but if you've already ordered one and are upgrading your CPU, you'll keep the GPU you've already ordered.

    • If you're planning on going extremely high tier Zen 3 (i.e. Ryzen 9), it's probably a good idea, but otherwise I can't see lower tier chips drawing much more power. It's primarily the GPU drawing the power.

      • I don’t think I will upgrade to r9 but maybe the zen 3 r7 version. So 750w should be enough right? Thanks

I'd be very surprised to see the recommended PSU go up to 850W with a 3080. And bear in mind recommended PSU only really goes so high to cover off the output of a non rated PSU which may not output as much solid power as a rated unit. Linus Tech Tips got the 3080 pulling 350W under load…that's high but still a long way from 750

This seems like a good deal but personally I'm hesitant to pull the trigger without knowing what the brand/model of the RAM and m.2 storage (option) is.

  • is the x570 better than the b550?

with the wifi mobo I dont need a 600mbps wifi dongle?

    • Depends on your needs. For my money x570 is better, but I have specific requirements for a workstation.

the gigabyte b550 offered here is far better value than even the 50 dollar x570 upgrade (bargain bin Biostar board with a jenky chipset fan and only a single m2 slot). The base board is fine just get a wifi card for 30 bucks and put the other 170 saved into more storage like an NVME SSD.

Im assuming techfast got a great package deal on the 3 gigabyte components used in these builds.

The only concern I have with the b550 offered here is that its pcie slot isn't reinforced so may be susceptible to gpu sag with such a chunky card. Again nothing a 20 dollar gpu stand cant resolve (you get some more rgb bling then too!)

  • The OP would be over the moon if all of these positive votes were actual sales.

    • inb4 "haven't received pc and its 2021"

  • any intel?

  • I waited this long I'm gonna wait for the 3090 Ti Super.

  • is the stock cooler enough for 3900x?

    • Depends what you are doing? I am using 3900x with stock, no problems. I haven't OC'd though.

  • Damn, that's a good deal.

  • Will you be offering a 3070 rig when that comes out?

    • +1

Yep - confirmed in the prior deal.

  • Still no case with USB-C port. Might as well build it myself into a decent case, as much as I'd rather just pay a little extra for you to do it!

  • Can't seem to add to cart as GPU is out of stock. Am I not understanding how this deal works?

We are reaching the end of October allocation. I've slotted a few more into this system so be quick if you can.

  • I'm interested in this, but just 2 questions.

    1. Do you guys include all the manuals and spares (case screws, panels, power supply cables, etc…)?
    2. What 1TB NVME m.2 are you installing if I choose to upgrade?

    TIA

    • 1) Yep
      2) brand/model may vary. The next incoming batch is from Kingston. We have also used Crucial and Lexar most recently.

  • Thanks for replying Luke.

    Would that be the A2000?

    • Yep

Hey @luketechfast you might want to speak with your distributor, seems MSI cards are also on the list of cards that crash at high turbo speeds. Will likely result in a bunch of warranty claims.

  • Hi Luke, I hope you read this. Which motherboard will be used if I get the X570 with Wifi? Thank you!

    • The brand and model may vary but the most common are Asus Tuf and MSI Gaming Edge.

  • Hey Luke, any news on the October shipment of gpu's yet? Cheers mate!
