I prefer okanui (the original name) that we used call them 50-60 years ago (actually we called them okanuis). Like ugg boots the name has been commercially appropriated into a brand name… nothing is sacred anymore, especially where you can exploit a buck out of a name that was originally in the public domain.
Is it still the case where most of the outlet stuff are 'home brands'?
