  • Can the induction pans be used in ceramic cooktop ? Honestly don't know the difference between the 2 but price wise for the cooktop induction is always way dearer than a ceramic although they look the same.

    • Yes you can.
Ceramic is essentially like a hot plate - it heats up the cooktop which then heat the pan and whatever is in it. A pain in the backside to cook on if you ask me. (Yes, that's from personal experience.)
Induction use electrical induction (think back to physics class in school if you did it) to heat up the pan you put on the cooktop. It's more energy efficient and safer than the ceramic/gas alternative. (https://www.cda.eu/hobs/how-does-induction-cooking-work)

How is it different to those stainless steel woks you can purchase from your local asian grocer?

    • +1

Good quality chinese woks use carbon steel or iron.

The 'half price' 9l pressure cooker is that price elsewhere. I guess many of the prices are inflated?

    • +2

Half price off RRP. Stores don't generally stick to RRP for long after the product is released.

Too bad the 10% bonus gift card starts tomorrow:

  • If no one has mentioned yet, don’t forget 5% off Myer Gift cards if you bank with MacQuarie.

  • Can you put any of these in the oven? I'm hoping for about 200 C. The bakelite handle might burn on those models but more importantly will the nonstick be damaged

Just tried to check out after selecting the wok pan I wanted and message came up saying that they could no long deliver that item to my address. No reason as to why - just a message to try the click and collect option. So tried this and the nearest Myer store with stock available was about 30km away so thought forget it.

I then remembered someone mentioning the Myer Ebay store option, and fortunately I was able to order it from there with free delivery and an additional $5 dollar off for using an ebay plus voucher I didn't know that I had.

It pays to read all the posts sometimes so thanks to the person who mentioned the Ebay alternative..

  • Anyone else also got their order cancelled without any explanation?

    • Negative. Picked mine up C&C

      • Was not an option for me due to lockdown unfortunately
