Nice, reminds me of the $900 Note 8 deal from Harvey Norman 3 years ago. Typing with the phone right now.

    • I got the same deal and still using my Note 8

    • Mine still works but upgraded to a mate 20 pro, was definitely worth the upgrade.

  • -1

Good price. My only concern is the 60Hz display since we can get 120Hz displays at the same price point.

    • +5

      Then buy 120hz phone

      • +1

Can't get an S-pen with it

        • +1

          Then get a Note 20

          • @mangolassi: Note 20 also has 60Hz display, they'd have to fork out huge money for the Note 20 Ultra.

    • If that's your concern don't worry about it, if you have never experienced 120 hz then you don't know what you are missing out on.

      • +2

true. For me 60hz nothing wrong with it. I've compared it. I prefer longer battery life

    • +5

Everyone online raved about it so I got s20+ and run 120hz .. not much different honestly

      • I have been using the iPad pro for a year with the 120hz, not much different to me.

  • +1

This isn't half price in real terms. I paid $1199 for my note 10± 3 mths ago from all phones brand new. Sharp price though and no regrets from the phone upgraded from note 8 and considering something else at tax time.

  • +1

    This or S20 FE 5G?

    • +3

If you don't insist on S-pen like me, S20 FE 5G is great.

    • +4

i owned Note 9 and occationally using s-pen as a remote for taking photo but I just pre-ordered S20 FE due to flat screen (for me: curve screen is just a gimmick, easy to crack and hard to apply screen protector) and newly release with 120hz screen anh snapdragron coi (256gb 5G version), i won't Go back to Note Series again for 2 factors: very big phone and expensive

Whats the point in buying outdated phone? Get new Note 20.

    • +10

Note 20 is shit, unless you go for note 20ultra.

      • Of course ultra

        • +1

needs to be Ultra Instinct level before committing

    • What is outdated?

The new model is double the price as well, $1999, a big difference.

      • -1

Note10 is outdated. No one buys at RRP. Just have to search for deals. 20 Ultra was around $1450 somewhere I vaguely remember

        • Not for the 512GB model, Australian model though.
          It’s always been around $2000.

    • Read the reviews, lacking in grunt and features, but still priced sky high ..

S20, especially S20FE seems much better value

    • Saw my cousin note 20 ultra. Nope i prefer my note 10+. No massive camera bump and still can do single handed with my hand. Like the TOF for kind of night vision.

      • I prefer doing single handed with my foot…

        • 2 hands will give you better feeling and happiness

  • Samsung prices always drop very quickly.

    • User friendly, unlike (exploiting) iPhone.

  • +1

Rather get a Note 20 fan edition after Samsung confirming there will be more fan editons to come.

  • This or Samsung S20 FE. Totally different phone but similar price now

    • +1

      i got note 10 plus,ibought fe.

      • And what was the drive?

        • +1

120 hz, flat screen, snapdragon, i had 4g one, so 5g.

  • +4

What I like about the Note 10+ After 6mth
    1 Dex
2.Battery. Super quick charge with a separate 45w charger. Or quick charge with 25w included charger. Wireless chargering
    3.Large screen. 6.8in Amoled screen
4.The look of the Aurora glow finish
    5. SPen and features
    6. Camera's. Time of flight and its festures
    7. True Multi tasking
    8. Massive storage off the bat expandable to 1TB

not in that order.. Lots to like. Especially now under $1k

    • for battery how is it with 5g discret. This is not integrated.

      • +3

I turned off the 5g. Fully charge 7am in the morning. Still 40% to 50% at 5pm. Moderate use. Checking whatsapp. Facebook. And ozbargain.

        • +1

never realised whatsapp and Facebook are moderate use

    • Does this phone has dual sim?

  • For my Note 10+ 4g I have noticed it runs warm when on mobile as apposed to going off WIFI. I'm a heavy user and run about 9hrs on screen time. Anytime you run low its quick to charge.

  • Got this at $1249 Jan 2020 with the EPP discount. Still a great phone, until a note 21 or 22 come around.

  • This is good price. 😔Just bought same specs and price sealed box 2nd hand from Facebook marketplace with no warranty. But so far very happy with the phone. No need to spend 2K for note20 ultra. Love the dex. Waiting for wireless dex update.

    • I already got that update on my s10 5g. You should see ot soon.

    • +2

      Sealed but second hand?

      • Sounds stolen doesn't it xD

        • +1

Believe it or not he said gift. But overseas model so no warranty.

          • +1

@shortcircuit: Oh you got the snapy. Good price

          • @shortcircuit: Overseas model got snapdragon so better than Oz one. I bought 2nd hand neglected dual sim note 10 plus 5g for 700. Almost regret buying it when I saw this post until I realised it's only single sim.

  • +1

Is 120 refresh rate at 1080p on samsung new devices really a thing? I had a look at store couldn't tell much difference than 60hz.

    • +1

It is essentially the same difference you'd notice between a 144Hz monitor vs 60Hz. If you are just reading and doing minimal scrolling, you won't notice it. But if you value fluidity and smoothness (Eg: the buttery smooth feel people go on about), a 120Hz phone will hit that itch precisely.

  • This or S20 FE 5G with 256GB + SD 865 for $958 (Samsung Employee store)?

    • +3

I prefer FE for latest phone with snapdragon, flat screen and 120hz screen (ordered myself one too)

      • +1

        Can't use Fe, too small

      • Thanks daywalker282 - What phone are you coming from?

        • +1

cheaptech20 - Note 9, its a great solid phone, i only upgraded to FE because Samsung offers trade-in bonus $200 and bud live so comes down to a great value phone with latest tech within my covid budget:-)

  • +1

I wish all the seller on Gumtree and eBay see this… some still selling second hand at $1100… Lol…

  • It's still so expensive after 14 months. Might consider buying one if it's under $800.

  • Only FE 5G IS BETTER.

  • Damn. So tempted even as a Note 10 (non plus) owner.

    • Why not going to s20 fe with snapdragon? Spen?

      • SPen
        Higher res and bigger screen
        Gorilla glass 5
        512GB
        I think more video capable
More memory 12GB …not sure of exact specifications for s20fe
        Dex which i use
        AURA BLUE!!!!

        • I’ve been considering between the Note 10+ and the FE. How fragile the gorilla glass 3 is? Does it mean not much protection at all?
Is 6GB ram in the FE is enough for Andoird phone these days? I’m coming from iphone so I don’t have any idea what’s considered acceptable specs for Android now.

          • @trantonz: 6GB is borderline depending on your usage requirements. 8GB is where I would start.

  • I have the same phone in Aura black. I despise the curved edges and skipped the Note 20 Ultra for that reason. Honestly good value for the money if you like a lot of storage on your phone. I hate Exynos but really this thing doesn't lag, it just isn't as good as the Snapdragon version. If you value 120Hz then 100% go for the FE 5G for only $150 more, but there is not much wrong with this phone. I get 4-6hrs screen on time a day if required..

  • Any deal on snappy dragon version?

  • +1

I'm in Melbourne and just tried to order on the website it said delivery not available. Maybe sold out?

    • +1

you are in lockdown. cant buy phone over $900

    • Yeah I'm in Perth and says the same.

  • it won't let me click and collect from anywhere but toowoomba queensland… i'm in SA… delivery unavailable.

  • It is huge discount considering RRP, but mobile phone prices should never be greater than $1000. Thanks to apple for starting trend of price jack, removal of headphone jack , and rumoured to remove headphone/charger from the box.

    • +1

The deletion of the headphone jack in a way is to push the wireless earbuds and cost saving. Also allows a bit more room for something else in such a small chassis. The Note 10 should come with a USBC headphone set anyway or just get an adapter for your own headphones. As for the adapter. Most ppl now have their own, so manufacturers trying to delete them for more profit. Mine even came with a case and screen protector on it. Alot of ppl making a fuss, but does it really matter about the headphone jack. Most manufacturers heading in this direction.

Having said that. Given it was a sub 2k phone it should have all the bells and whistles including the 45w charger IMO

      • +2

Wireless headphones are solution to a problem which should not exist at the first place. All the manufacturers had space for headphone jack for many years, its just a lame excuse that they cannot put headphone jack in a phone anymore just to make extra money selling bluetooth buds to the people. I have airpods, galaxy buds as well but headphones jack gives you convenience to plug in directly without need of any adapter. What will one do if needs to plug in headphone and charge at same time?

        • Note 10 has fast wireless charging.

I'm still more annoyed the infra red blaster was deleted on tbe S series. I would prefer that in compensation for the loss of the headphone jack

          • @Melb69: and im more annoyed with the fact that we can't access and swap the battery…..

            • @CyberMurning: For the short term with the Note 10 that is not an issue as the battery does last awhile, but as with most phones baftery degradation will occur. I think most ppl just upgrade before it gets that bad.

      • " Alot of ppl making a fuss, but does it really matter about the headphone jack. Most manufacturers heading in this direction."
agree. typical human, resist afraid of changes but soon will give in and move on

        • I also think the 60hz to 120hz is a furphy issue as well. Sure the 120 is supposedly more fluid and better for games, but it also eats battery life. Just saying as a daily driver the Note 10+ even a year old is still a power house and even better value now that its being discontinued.

  • Looks like out of stock now except in Townsville. No need to consider any more. That makes it easy for me!

    • +1

No delivery options either. Oh well. Part of me is happy which means I didn't need it.

  • Not much stock around for this phone

  • Anyone try officeworks price beat for this?

    • Hard now with no stock.

  • Will the invoice show $1999 or $999?

    • +1

It will show what you paid…. like normal.

  • Got one for C&C, will pick up later. Thanks OzBargain!

Given how expensive the Note 20 is and how the performance/battery is not that much better than this model due to Exynos, certainly not enough to justify an extra $1k outright or over 2 years on contract when the US devices are so much better.

Will be dropping down to a $49 sim only plan for 12 months now and waiting out this generation and getting back into the game next year.

  • For those that don't need the S-Pen, I ended up going for the Snapdragon version of the S20 FE which is any of the 5G models. The 128GB one has 6GB RAM and the 256GB one has 8GB. If pre-ordering today (ends midnight) you can also get $200 extra on trade-ins plus the pre-order Galaxy Buds Live. After trading in my Note 8 I will be paying $784 and I guess I could sell the Buds for around $200 if I don't decide to keep them.

  • Wow!! Got offered a $20 trade in offer for Samsung note 9!
Does make me wonder… It's any one proceeding with trade in?
Surely get more selling on gumtree?

    • You should be thankful, it didn't take you to negative$$

    • They will suck our blood till dry

      • Even iphone trade in value is more in $$ than Samsung's own flagships on Samsung websites
