    Redmi 9A probably a better option from Kogan… 5000mAh battery, Better CPU, better camera etc

    • +3

      But this is coming from Motorola themselves. Can’t trust kogan

      Counter points; local warranty, no bloatware, 'trusted' brand (if youre the china=spy type), click and collect.

      • Accordingly to wikipedia its owned by a chinese company called lenovo - damned if you dammned if you don't
        I also don't know anyone using a motorola in 2020 - Motorola almost went bust a few years ago.

          Just depends who you hang with;
          I know 4 people; they're all brilliant devices.
          Physical gestures are super good.

          And yes, Lenovo is chinese owned also, however it's much less CCP intertwined, and has western 'arms' of the company also.
          It's not clean, but its baseband firmware is much less likely to be dirty.

        • I'm still using a G5s, and its been a fantastic device. I see motorola phones as being the same as samsung flagships, having all the features but scaled down in performance in return for being a third the price.

        • Still using my Moto X force and it hasn't missed a beat. I keep dropping it to give me an excuse to get a new phone but it refuses to break.

    • Not directly comparable as it's a different size (6.5" vs 6.1") phone though.

  • OP any deal on g8 plus?

    • Currently down to $349 at the moment.

  • Got one from Big W-very happy with my e6s.

  • No NFC.

  • Nup, seems "only top line" motos get nfc ,eg only g7 plus, not any other g7. Bit of a pain as nfc is so handy and a deal breaker for many other not bad phones…

  • Will apps getting killed often with only 2gb ram
