    • When I last checked, the Shield Pro was available through The Good Guys Commercial, whereas the regular Shield was available through retail The Good Guys.

Hmm…Any thoughts on a 75" TV that is gonna be worth upgrading to from my current 58" Panasonic Viera? Sony 8000H? Sammy Q80T? LG CX? Others???

    • All those TVs are in different brackets in both quality and price. 9500h is probably competitor to q80t.

    • Lg nano is decent bang for buck … looking at getting one for new pc/consoles to replace an old tcl.. but already have a pana OLED as main (upgrade from pana plasma), I would recommend going for an OLED as the main (more so if you are coming from a plasma) so see if you can grab a 65 cheap in the sale :)

    • +1

Hisense if you're on a budget, Q80T if you're not.

    • +1

I actually just went through this process of upgrading from my old plasma. I was tossing up between the exact same 3 TV's ended up going with the Q80T as I really wanted something in 75" and I gotta say the full array local dimming works really well I am super happy. I was worried I'd regret not going OLED but this is definitely an awesome upgrade over what I had.

Honestly though it's a personal preference go into a store and play around with all of them.

      • Thanks - appreciate the feedback. Latest thinking has me leaning towards the 75x9000H for the HDMI 2.1 support, which will be handy for the PS5. Saw one in store and it looked great. The Q80T is a very close second though. :)

        • No worries. The Q80T has HDMI 2.1 as well just FYI.

  • Dammit, need to pick up a few low valued things but closest GG is further than the 5km radius… was hoping to avoid paying postage!

    Sadly it seems typical of these type of Sales even when applying the 15% off they are not going to be competitively priced, for example;
    NEW Panasonic SD-2501 Bread Maker
    AU $349.00
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Panasonic-SD-2501-Bread-Make…
    $349 - 15% = $296.65 + $10 (postage) = $306.65

    Panasonic SD-2501 1.2kg Bread Maker $285
    https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/product/panasonic-bread-…

This product will be delivered FREE by Appliances Online trucks. We’ll also unpack the product and remove its packaging for free, and can even take away the old disconnected appliance for free, if you select this option at checkout.

    Buyer beware.

P.s. we bought a Fisher & Paykel WL8060P1 CleanSmart™ 8kg Top Load Washing Machine of Appliances Online in 12.2017 and were very impressed with the service and delivery was free for that unit.

  • Looking at a Sony TV, $55 for postage - anyone had luck with Sony price matching TGG on ebay - their postage would be free.

    • +1

Sony have not got back to me yet, but got HN to price match; they throw in Kayo subscription too. Still have to pay delivery though.

  • It suggests that sales are finally starting to fall after the $2b we've spent on WFH equipment.

    any recommendation for Dryer?

    • Looking to replace my Sterling (aldi brand) one which I have never been happy with.

    • I too would like the know this. Thanks in advance.

  • 15% off a NEW Bosch WAW28460AU 8kg Front Load Washer ??? :D

    Yes please.

Will this be limited number of items??? EG: 5 washing machines then bad luck full price?

    • Is that a good deal and a good machine? It's twice how much I paid for my haier 7.5kg and I don't know if id notice the difference, but am needing to buy one for my in-laws.

    • Been eyeing this model for more than a year and it has never gotten back to the cheapest I had seen in 2019, when TGG eBay had a 20% off and Bosch had a concurrent cash back too. Was only $850 even after the $50 delivery!
      Now it's hardly ever below $1000 :(

  • TGG ebay's product line is not full compared to its website

  • How do you search for particular products on their eBay page?

    • Visit their eBay store from the link. The search box up top is to search the store automatically.

  • +1

If you have access to the Good Guys Commercial (via Sun Super for instance), their prices are often (not always though) less than these offers. I recently bought a Bosch pyrolytic oven via Commercial that was significantly less than their best instore price and way less than online.

    • some people also said you can try to match the price in TGG local stores

      • Worth a try. I did that with a Miele vacuum cleaner. Showed the guy instore the price on their commercial website and he (reluctantly) matched it.

        • +1

ahaha it really depends on the salesperson (I guess) — maybe because it is not $5,000 goods so the salesman won't get much commission, so he was reluctant

    • +1

you can even call them to ask for a further discount on TGGC :)

      • I've never had any luck with that. Good that you have though.

  • +1

    Get ready for Jack.

  • Just had a look. Appliances Online worked out a bit cheaper, with their free delivery promotion.

Thanks for the post TA, but just curious…why the opening line about staying safe? Safe from what?

    • +2

Are you pretending not to know, or have you been living under a rock for the past 6 months?

    • I think it's just a general reminder about COVID-19

    • super spreaders.. you know who they are..

  • Anyone know of any good dishwasher deals? Our old one died recently and handwashing sucks!

    • I bought a solt branded one from the gg about a month ago and it has been good so far.

  • TGG eBay site has 2,390 for sale today, I wonder if that will drop tomorrow.
But in fairness I haven't noticed TGG price jacking stuff when they have a 10,15,or 20% off sale!!
Maybe they just remove items with a small profit margin!!

    • -1

they have clearly jacked overnight. Aircon from $899 to $999. Bunch of muppets this TGG/JB Group. I have lost interest in these clowns. Will shop elsewhere.

      • -1

@yellowfever Which aircon was that?? As another Ozbargain page was uploaded on Monday a day before the sale started which listed four potential deals from TGG
not one of the items was price jacked when the sale started. When you see proof of price jacking happening you should give the details, so people have proof
of it happening from big companies such as TGG. As there are a lot of clowns and muppets on Ozbargain yelling out "price jacking" without any proof!!

        • +1

          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Fujitsu-SET-ASTG09KMTC-C2-5k…

          look at "view all revisions"
look at "06 Oct 2020 00:52:38 AEDST" "Buy It Now Price" changed.

It was $899 on 5th Oct. Next day, they bumped to $999.
I didn't screenshot, however I know the previous price. I have been following this item for weeks.
Screenshot or not, it doesn't change anything.

Yes they have not jacked all items, but they have definitely jacked some items.

  • Interesting
4 - 5 items I've looked at and marked store close to home to sus out freight - or even work 40kms from home - all stores are out of stock of those washing machines… Infact, Im finding it hard to find any store with any stock

  • Has anyone bought a clothes dryer from Good Guys recently that they would recommend?

    • Bought this about 3 mths ago
      https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/fisher-and-paykel-8kg-condens…

Works well, click auto and start - and everything is dry when it comes out.. lint filter needs cleaning each dry though.

havent really played with the menus, it works as I've been doing it so just stuck with it.

    • The top end Bosch heat pump dryer has been good. Expensive but energy efficient and doesn't make the room humid. Only problem is it leaves king sheets a tiny bit damp, but that probably comes down to personal preference.

      • How long does the cycle take?

        • I haven't timed it, but feels like around one and a half hours for a 3kg mixed load

  • Does anyone have any experience with Hisense air conditioners? Or is it better to spend more?

  • -3

Have they jacked up prices yet?

    • +2

Save the cliche. TGG doesn’t do it.

      • How do you know that with 100% certainty? Do you track all their items?
I have seen their price jacking, although this is common practice with most/all sellers. I don't bother taking screenshots for proof anymore. Not like anything would change.

      • +2

they have clearly jacked overnight. Aircon from $899 to $999. Bunch of muppets this TGG/JB Group. I have lost interest in these clowns. Will shop elsewhere.

      • They did.

    • +3

An air conditioner I was looking at yesterday was $899 and is now $999 so yes. They have started price jacking, although some prices haven’t changed either.

    • -1

@DeeTrance This deal was uploaded on Monday 5th, the day before the TGG sale started, not one of the 4 items was price jacked the next day.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/570665 People just seem to say price jack for any eBay sale without any good reason!!

  • Gopro9 seems like a good deal if it holds its price till tomorrow.

$509 after 15% discount. Versus $559 on Gopro official website.

    • I'm looking at that too. I wonder if Officeworks can price beat that. That would be $483.55.

      • I think they won't because it's ebay. But worth a try.

      • They don't beat coupon prices

  • -3

Will Officeworks price best the GG and offer the additional discount? I needed some Nest Protect alarms, and the cheaper I can get them, the better!

    • +1

no price match when u use discount codes.

      • Thanks, hopper. Don't know why I was downvoted 3 times, but I appreciate the information!

        • …and they are no longer for sale via their eBay store! :(

  • +2

Sony WH1000XM4 black and silver $449 take 15% = $381.65 for those with no JB Commercial account

  • Anyone score any 'bargains'?

  • Code is live, thanks for posting!

"You saved AU $254.85 on this purchase with coupons and vouchers."

  • Code not working with lg microwave

  • -1

Do they have any good deals on good quality non gaming laptops?

  • Can't apply the code to a Sunbeam Popcorn Machine, the offer doesn't seem to mention any restrictions other than gift cards, can someone else try the Sunbeam Popcorn Machine to see if it's just a problem for me?

It might be right in front of me, but I can't find a way to contact the TGG Ebay Store to ask about it.

    edit: Found the contact link.

  • LG Fridge just purchased - with discount it was cheaper than the Good Guys commercial site

    • Which fridge did you buy?

      • LG-455PL

        • how much did you get it for and how much was it on TGG commercial?

I'm looking for that fridge but in white.

          • @crackman: $1019 on sale and $1048 on commercial site.

The white version is $961 on commercial site.

  • LG CX 55 inch $2545 and 65 inch $3665

    • Still not as much of a discount as I and others were hoping for. But I guess I'm happy for anyone that buys these TVs at those prices. It's still best to wait until November for them to hopefully get to around 3k for the 65 inch and 2k for the 55 inch.

      • +1

I'm waiting for them to drop in price.. :) otherwise I will just end up buying a 65" Nano91 I must have the best viewing angles and motion rate around so I'm limited to either IPS or OLED TVs VA are just not as smooth and the viewing angles don't come close to IPS

  • Do TGG instore usually match prices on their ebay store with discount code applied?

  • Is it worth buying air fryer? I am after Philips XXL airfryer?

  • Weirdly, looking at the Bosch 9kg washer, no stock for click and collect via ebay, though their commercial website says in stock most local stores.

    • said same yesterday

The Good Guys eBay have jacked up by $100. Flogs.
    I was looking at a 2.5kw Fujitsu SET-ASTG09KMTC C2.5kW H3.2kW Reverse Cycle Split System
It was $899 last night. Now $999

    • +1

Same. Just refreshed the page I had open for the 7kw Fujitsu. Price jumped by 200 today from 1799 to 1999.

      Disappointed.

With shipping, Appliances Central is cheaper by $35: https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/astg24kmtc-fujitsu-7-1kw…

      • +1

I'm not getting Fujitsu anymore, their models do not have left and right directional swing, it is a manual swing. It only has up and down swing. Whereas Panasonic and Mitsubishi have auto left & right direction swing.

  • Looking to spend around $1,000 on a TV.

Any deals? I’m not sure what’s good value or not.

    • samsung had a sale at jbhifi (same company) on the artisan tv

I think they need to rename themselves to The Mediocre Guys.

Has this code expired? Doesn't seem to work for any item I apply it to.

    • Same for me.

      • Please see my comment below.

    • +1

Code is still working fine, it'll be an issue with your eBay account. You can either checkout as a guest and use the coupon or contact eBay live chat and they'll fix the issue for you.

    • +1

Have you had issues with similar codes in the past? For the longest time these never worked for me and i always had to check out as guest.. turns out it was because my account pre-dated eBay Australia and was technically an eBay USA account meant that none of them would work. They switched my account to Australia and since then they have all worked.

  • +1

They increased the price of an item I was planning on buying. What's the point of going through all the effort of promoting a 15% discount sale if they simply increase the price? Surely there are consumer laws in place to protect such questionable business practices?

    • there is. when it comes to ebay somehow they become toothless.

they just like picking on kogan and msy mostly tho.
