Sounds good. Let's see what will be in stock tomorrow!
    Thanks TA..

  • +8

Will be interesting what they put on eBay vs what their bricks n mortar store offerings are, often eBay is a subset.

  • ipads? included?

    • From what I remember they always exclude apple products

  • +1

    Plus only?

    • -1

      Does it say plus only?..

  • Any bargains from TGG?

  • +9

Hello TGG, if you are reading this, please add the Sony 65 x9000h to your eBay store.

    XOXO

    • It is already on there mate will come down to $1950 after discount

      • can you link it? I can only see Bing Lee and Sony.

      • +1

I can only see the Sony KD65X9500H 65"
        Not the 9000

        • +9

The 65X9000H was definitely on there earlier in the week as I had it saved in my watched list. The listing has been ended though. Guess they did it in preparation for this sale?

    • +1

I got it from GG for $1995 plus a $40 gift voucher and free delivery 2 weeks ago.

    • +1

      Consider it done

      • +1

        Thanks Putin :)

    • Is that a good upgrade coming from 55x7000e? Specs wise?

    • I am so tempted but I don’t like buying something hoping for a feature update for hdmi 2.1. So much cheaper than the LG CX though and only gonna be using for PlayStation.

  • LG CX will be cheap, 3600ish for the 65". I'm hoping for a JB deal soon to use the $500 gift card from the Telstra deal

    • +2

You can get a 65CX for around $3400 with very little work. As long as you’re not in Vic. They’re struggling to negotiate down there due to short supply and lockdown. Head to this thread for recent receipts: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/9kv62j03?p=-1#bottom

      • +1

Thanks for the info, I'm in Vic but handy once lockdown ends

      • I didn't see any receipts, people were mentioning prices but its not clear how they got there (one guy price match this ebay /good guys deal online it seems and then use the JB 5% from Friday - but that's over) how are they getting down to the 3400 otherwise - just negotiation?

        • +1

Here you go, some recent receipts https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/9kv62j03?p=216#r67775…

And yes we’ve all taken a receipt in and used it to negotiate. I took one in for $6500 for a 77CX and was able to get the same price. That’s my receipt on there. Which at the time there was $500 cashback as well and free Disney plus, so got it for $6k. Cashback has ended now but $6500 is still a great price on the 77. $3400 on the 65CX is happening quite easily with a receipt if you have a read through the thread.

    • +5

"Cheap", still $1k more than c9.

      • +2

Where have you seen the C9 for sale at retail in the last 6 months?

There hasn't been stock and i've had my eye on it since Jan.

Plus CX has updated processor so it's not like you're getting a repackaged TV.

        • +1

Yea I bought my one in feb. The processor isn't worth more than a few bucks more unfortunately. I just don't see how anyone would spend this much on it is all.

  • -5

Thinking of getting a new fridge. Can anyone confirm if you can use RACQ rewards (or any) The Good Guys e-gift vouchers on the eBay store to get 15% off and also the discounted gift card value?

    Gotta count those cookies :)

    • +3

      Nope…you're buying via eBay…
How would you use good guys gift cards via eBay?

Only chance would be going instore and hoping a salesperson matches the discounted eBay price

      • -8

I believe I've done it once before in the same situation but you do click and collect and choose your local TGG, was a few years ago though. Anyone done this? :)

Sorry I know C&C not applicable for everyone.

        • +4

You made payment via Paypal/ eBay during checkout to confirm your C&C. I am not sure what you're on about there.

        • +6

          I believe you haven't….

          • -1

@SBOB: No stress, I will stop misremembering and trying to get double discounts.

  • Beauty. I'm in need of a few appliances and now the prices. Will wait for it.

  • I need a vacuum ideally max $400. anyone got recommendations? Got no carpets just hard flooring.

    • +1

Why not buy one of those robot vacuum cleaners?

      • +2

I have two of the Xiaomi S5's (one for upstairs and one for downstairs). Best investment ever.

        • +1

Love my S5's, the S5 Max's latest 2 fw have made it vacuum the same place over and over and over again.

      • +1

I just bought a robot vacuum (Dreame F9) for $429 and it's the best thing ever. We only have hardwood floors and while I haven't tried the mop function, dare I say that it works a dream(e). It does take about an hour and a half to clean the entire house but it's super thorough. We're looking at supplementing with the actual vacuum once or twice a week (coming from someone who used to vacuum their house everyday!)

    • +1

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Electrolux-ZSP4303PET-Silent…

Get an Electrolux and service the filters once a month, clean the turbohead out after each run through the house and you're good to go.
It'll get dust and pet hair and anything else out you didn't even know was there and run for years.

      • Thanks for the suggestions might go with this one. I would like a cordless one ideally but I assume this will do a better job for the price range.

    • +1

Miele C3 is a good vacuum for that price range

    • +3

I've got one of these but in red color, and whenever i am cleaning my room it sucks really well ;)
      https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/miele-complete-c3-allergy-tec…

    • If you're looking for a cordless vacuum, check out the Xiaomi V9P combo set for $289 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/561568

I picked up one of these from Gearbite a few months ago and it has been great for my apartment with carpet and tiled rooms. Was initially considering a Dyson, but there weren't any deals on at the time. Also, since this Xiaomi was only 1/3 the price of a Dyson equivalent, thought to give it a shot - no regrets thus far.

  • Oh no. I can’t find Sony 75X9500H there… darn

    • They have it there, 3995 before discount

      • So it should be $3395.75 + delivery? Hmmm…

        • +1

I just got Harvey Norman to price match + plus $59 delivery; however, HN is throwing in 12 months of Kayo ($300) with 75" tvs! Noice!
(6 months for smaller TV i think)

          • @corremn: Well done. I was very tempted, but will hold out for the 75x9000H as I will need the HDMI 2.1 for the PS5. Hopefully ~$3k come Black Friday sales. =D

            • @Stalker: Yeah HDMI 2.1 would of made this tv a killer

  • +2

miss the days when Bing Lee used to do the 15 or 20% on ebay.

  • No noteworthy mobile?

  • I am guessing TGG commercial will stil be way cheaper than this? I will appreciate any comments. Thanks !

    • +1

Not alway. Sometimes TGG brings down products on the consumer side and it’s either equal to or below the commercial. It’s not done in lockstep.

      • Thanks. I was just comparing a few items and they seem to be cheaper at TGGC. That's why I was asking… I am after a fridge, washing machine and tv, but the cheapest quote I ve found so far is at TGGC

Thinking about getting a kitchen aid stand mixer for the gf. Can anyone recommend which model? Or whether kitchen aid is the brand to go with or are there better alternatives?

    • -8

I’ve always been a fan of Emily Ratajkowski you’re looking for a model. Not sure how the gf will take a Kitchen Aid as a severance gift though.

      • +2

        crickets

    • +1

KitchenAid is expensive but high quality (entry level KitchenAid Classic 4.3L is ~$550).
Kenwood has good reviews as a "budget" option (entry level Kenwood Classic is $350-400).

There's also other brands like Breville. Each of them have "entry level" models which are good for cakes and batters, but might struggle with bread dough. Depends if she makes mostly cakes and batters, or likes to bake bread too.

Either way, if your wife likes the design of the KitchenAid she might prefer that one.

      • -1

Splurging on a KitchenAid for the wife is basically like getting jewellery, you get it not really for its functional value but mostly the "he really does shower me with gifts and kisses" feeling.

    • +3

I picked up the KSM160 back in December 2017 for $540. Hasn't missed a beat and would highly recommend it. Made in the USA instead of made in China like a lot of cheaper brands. Same goes for blenders. Look at Vitamix as they are made in the USA as well.

  • +1

If it's something large, like a washing machine or a refrigerator, will they deliver and remove the old one as part of this? Or will we have to ring the store and negotiate delivery?

    • I believe yes if you get the 'Premium Delivery' for an extra $20/$30. :)

      • +1

Although I couldn't find this option on their eBay store.

    • +1

Or will we have to ring the store and negotiate delivery?

Yeah, do that or ring their main sales hotline if it's coming from their main warehouse in VIC.

  • Oh no! Just bought a new fridge from TGG ebay last night!!!

    • Refund/cancel.

      • the fridge arrived this morning :(

        • Wow. Talk about quick delivery.

  • All their TVs are coming up as $1000 postage…?

edit: seems it didn't like my postcode.

    • Lol… overseas shipping?

      • No was an AU postcode. Mel-t below seems to have had the same issue but for fridges.

        • Just kidding.

  • -1

I literally just bought a new fridge two days ago from there through their main store…. :(

  • Awesome I want to buy an air fryer so I guess now I'd the time to do it. But first I need to review air fryers and figure out which one I want. Any suggestions to what's preferred?

Edit: looks like the cheaper ones like anko and Kogan don't look too bad, might pick between these 2 and not worry about this deal…

    • I believe the Aldi one is coming up again

    • +2

The Kmart Anko ones are absolutely superb. We've got the mid size one. The large holds SO much food.

    • A week ago I was like you hesitating between the Kogan, Philips and Ninja. I settled with the Ninja because my friend got it and it works like how it should plus TGG price matched it with Domayne bringing it from $323 down to $199.

I bought it with concierge $49 so that I would receive 3 x $20 store credit per year (for 3 years) + extended warranty.

I also paid with TGG 5% off gift cards which makes everything a bargain.

      $199 Ninja + $49 Concierge = $248 * 5% off = $235.60

If I use all my store credits, I would save an extra.
      - 3 x $20 store credit x 3 years = $180

If I don't, I still got myself extended warranty for an affordable price.

  • I am after a quality washing machine, what is the ozb's favorite washing machine these days?

    • +6

      go for Bosch

    • +2

      looking at this myself
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/143316745574/

just not sure I want to spend a grand on a washing machine still.

    • get an ASKO - money well spent, clothes well washed and spun dry, water saved, electricity saved - they're the biz for decades now.

  • I was looking around the store to see if there was anything I wanted to buy tomorrow. Some of the postage costs are a tad high …. $1,000.00 P&H for 92L bar fridge is more than I'm willing to pay :-) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-CHiQ-CSR092W-92L-Bar-Fridge/…
