[WA] Telethon Family Festival $5 Adults / Free Kids (16 and under) @ Ticketmaster

130

There have been lots of RRP bargains lately, so I'll post one that I believe is too, but feel free to move to forums if more appropriate. These tickets are for a good cause, and are so cheap for a festival and you can choose to pay more during checkout as a donation to help children in need.

Details below copied from: https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/telethon/up-to-15000-ticket…

Tickets go on sale today for the first ever Telethon Family Festival when a day of fun and entertainment will come to Optus Stadium to help children in need in WA.

Presented by Coles, the Telethon Family Festival will be held on Sunday, October 25, from 11am to 5pm with an array of activities for families to enjoy while raising money for the cause.

Up to 15,000 tickets will be available for the event, which is part of a new look for the WA fundraiser this year, with free entry for kids.

Copied from the deal link:

There’ll be performances from a range of acts on the Bankwest Community Stage, free carnival rides, food trucks, a sports precinct, special guest appearances and lots of fun activations for kids of all ages to enjoy! All of this while supporting a great cause.

Edit: the deal link now says it's free carnival rides (thanks 00broke00 for spotting it).

  • Once inside are the rides free?

    • I'll put money on a definite NO, but the web page couldn't be more vague if it tried.

      • I agree. I also don't think the rides will be free, given that the Spring Farm Fair last week didn't have free rides despite the higher entrance fee ($32 for a family of 4 compared to $10). Those rides were reasonably priced though, and there were still queues for the rides but they weren't that long and were manageable with kids.

    • +2

It actually says free carnival rides on the front page description of the website

      • Thanks you're right! The word "free" actually wasn't there yesterday when I copied that paragraph to the description above!

        • Description updated.
