  • Sounds like throwing money away.

    Depending on your usage..
-Small kids: hizero. Read my comments on previous threads.
-Cleaning the whole house with a very good scrub: get over it or buy something commercial?

Yikes. You made me go so deep into your post history I feel like a stalker.

Here is a post for reference: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/530198#comment-8555839

Thanks for the info. I'm going to pass on this and the Hizero. Sticking to Dyson + steam mop for now until technology does another leap.

      • Haha. Cheers for the link.

Hizero is really good, but specifically for kids.

You'll want something with elbow grease for a deep clean. Haven't looked into what that is.

We've had one for about a year. Bamboo floors throughout the common areas house and 2 dogs (Border Collies). This is a great tool…cleans up the floors nicely.

We’ve had one for about a year too and it does do a good job, but I’m not sure about doing the whole house with it - that would be a bit time consuming.

We have a cleaner who uses the standard spin-dry mop, after vacuuming. Out of interest I have gone over the same floor just after she left and the amount of dirt and crud in the waste water from a “clean” floor is quite amazing.

Being corded makes it a bit more difficult but it is a lot less than the price of the good cordless. I’m guessing but I think one tank of water would do about 50sqm of hard floor.

It is a bit fiddly to take apart for cleaning and I can see how it could break if you are not careful.

  • I was thinking about a cordless one but not impressed by reviews. Anything better?

I have the cordless one. My house is mostly tiles.

I think it works well for something that you can quickly run over an area.
But it's very overpriced and the runtime isn't good.

  • Just saw how it works and IMO cleaning the water tank and refilling it would be time consuming and annoying and I am also sceptical about hair getting stuck everywhere. I had a old Dyson which I spent more time taking hair of brushes than cleaning. My new V10 dyson do not have any issue with hair and I feel it would be quicker to just use the vaccum and a quick mop , if you count the time it will take to mix , fill, empty, clean the whole thing. Maybe someone with a very big house but still doubt it

    • I took apart a Dyson over the w/e and let me just say "DO NOT suck bugs and slugs up with them". They seem to operate on a reverse megaphone principal, where large cone goes in to smaller cones to increase air speed… bugs can get smeared through out the cones.
I think a bag is still probably a more practical design.

Cleaning the water tank and refilling takes about 30 secs…..we have a 300m2 home and only have to refill once per clean.

You really need to use a vac before using this, even though it says it does both. We use it solely to mop the floors. It does a much better job than a standard mop, leaves very little water which is important for timber/bamboo floors and the weight and microfiber rollers seem to clean easier.

Used to have one, cleans the floor okay, will constantly leave a big water streak. One major downside for me was how awkward it was to operate, the maneuverability is just lacking.

Have been using Bissell instead and achieve much better cleaning result, plus I can use generic solution as it's just normal mops.
