Kenwood seems to have good reviews and up against KitchenAid which is 2-3x more

Was going to get 15% from The Good Guys at $399, then found out their official store sells them for only $349 (cheaper than most online stores) plus another 10% off for first time customer

  For infrequent use, is it worthwhile to spend this much on a mixer.

  How much better is the Kenwood?

  It's really only going to be used as a mixer, not mincer or blender. Kogan has a larger bowl. Downside is the Kogan only has a 1 year warranty, vs 5 for the Kenwood.

    would avoid unknown brand for stand mixer. I was looking at cuisinart vs kitchenaid, but due to some negative reviews with cuisinart I found kenwood has a better reputation for more than half price of kitchenaid

  Thanks bought one. Was about to buy the Chef XL at DJ's for $399, But for home use I really don't need a 6.7lt bowl and a big machine to take up space. So I settled on this mixer.
