I can see a lawsuit coming

    • Why is that?

I use them at times inside motorcycle gloves and in wet hiking boots in the tent at night to semi-dry and warm them, they're great…

but woolies stock is known to be dodgy, might pop in

  • These are very popular in Japan and other parts of the world with winters. I dont know who would think Australia has a market for this, or selling them at supermarkets.

Then again, if trains in Brisbane still have air-con like they used to…

    • They're great for camping.

    • There are places in Australia that have bitterly cold winters. I'd love these on those -8°C Canberra mornings!

    • My wife suffers from chilblains. Fingers are freezing cold and swollen. This is great to keep fingers warm.

Environmental rubbish. Dont buy. Items like this should be discouraged, or even outlawed.

Yeah! Let's ban everything you don't like!!!

Ehhhh while I'm not a fan of single use items these are mostly just iron powder and water which is probably more "recyclable" in landfill than plastic. That said if you plan to use these sorts of things long term you should invest in a reusable one

I've tried a few brands of reusable warmers but can't get more than 30-60min out of them. Any suggestions for something that lasts a few hours when bulky gloves aren't an option?

        • Good point. I guess you're supposed to bring a generator and a microwave with you everywhere you go so that you can be more "green" lol.
I'm all for not creating stuff to go directly to landfill, but you have to pick your battles really. Things that have no alternative in practical terms, and aren't actually that bad in the scheme of things aren't really what the focus should be. How about people who buy cars, mowers, appliances etc that are made as cheaply as possible, never bother maintaining them, then throw them out into landfill and buy another? There's so much of that. A true ozbargainer or environmentalist would have a 30 year old mower and a 20 year old car that they maintain meticulously and plan to keep for another 10 years lol.

        • Sometimes I double up and it gets extra hot!

  • Cant see it in SA
