I saw the post about $50 PSN cards at 2am and jumped on that while tired because I thought it would sell out. I was right about it selling out, but didn't take time to see what else was available. Now I have $150 worth of PSN cards that will probably take me years to spend lol

Luck HN was sold out of PSN cards so I bought them at JM. Then realised I could the controller and charging dock from HN, my local. I’m now trying to cancel my controller pre-order from EB; I’ve sent an email.
@sween64: Yeah, I've blown $5.95 lol. If I'd have done it the other way around like you I could have picked up the controller and dock from HN, maybe even on release day. Oh well, at least I don't need to leave the house now and I won't be desperate for a charging dock and extra controller on day one.

My ps4 platinum had issues with left side having very low sound compared to the right. It seems it is a common problem after researching about it. I took it apart and put it back together again and it worked for a few months but eventually had same problem again.
Mine had issues with the 3d audio switch, funnily enough. Just bumping or putting light pressure on that side of the headset would cause the headset battery level to flash up in the UI (as if a setting were changed). Somehow now it's fixed itself but I reckon the switch was loose inside.
It's also really susceptible to interference. I was getting half second audio cut outs every minute or so, until I turned the wifi off on my hifi receiver then it never did it again.
If it's anything like any other official Sony PS headset, it will be pure trash and lay max a year.

Which one though? Was it the one for around $100? I've had one with each playstation, and they are all pure trash. The PS4 wireless one was one of the worst headphones I've ever owned. They started falling apart in just a month of use, the battery life degraded to barely usable within half a year. I had to use it wired for the rest of it's short life.

That's what my ones looked like after a year of use. I take care of my products, but I did use them a lot.
They are all low quality products. I would never recommend them over the huge amount of quality products we have available at OZB.

If you've never had a loan, that's probably why. They will want a history of paying back loans.

Looking at them, the ear cup thingies are identical to the old headphones.
Would surprise me if 0 R&R went int this and they just changed the band a bit and theyre exactly the same as the old Sony headphones.
Even if this headset is a bit average, $100 bux seems pretty reasonable.
Argh! I was set on waiting for reviews on this one given my Hyper X Clouds still do the job but for $109 I couldn’t resist.
