It should be. All the other Seagate portable hard drives are shuckable.

Special edition = uses parts from faulty Amazon returns.

    • Special edition = different product part number as opposed to the standard 4TB drive. Not able to get a price match because no other retailer has the same product part. So called different product.

  • What's so special edition about this?. It looks exactly the same as the standard Seagate 4TB Basic Portable.

Does it mean that they can claim a different part number and so they can deny price matching with the likes of Officeworks just because their drives carry a different part number. I'm believing that is the reason why Amazon came up with this special edition. It's otherwise exactly the same as the Basics 4TB Portable apart from part number. So they can claim hey different product part is different product, no price match for you.

  • No warranty!? 30 day amazon warranty sheesh!
