Any motherboards that are suitable with this CPU and are going on sale? Thanks

10600KF is basically on par with a 10900K when overclocked for gaming. You don't need anything more than this, spend the money on a faster GPU. Zen 3 also might be faster but it's probably not going to make much difference outside of 1080, and Zen 3 will cost more. Again, better off spending the money on a bigger GPU

Motherboard choice can be a bit shit and you'll want a decent cooler to get the most out of it

For a budget build a 3600 or 3300x might make more sense

One counter to this point would be if you’re considering longevity of the system.
If you’re the sort of person that keeps your computer parts for longer, a 10600k will be inadequate before the 10900k is.

For example, a 4th gen i5 is no longer really up to current gen high end gaming. However the same generation i7 is still just holding on.

So spending a little extra now (not necessarily for the 10900k, but maybe the 10700k) May pay off down the line, for some people.
      Obviously doesn’t apply to everyone.

10700KF $50 more expensive than the 3700X but will beat it in gaming by a fair bit.

The new 8 core 5800X will only beat/match the 10700KF by a ~10% but is going to cost $750-800

    Seems like a good price @ $460

  • That's a great price but no PCI 4 is a deal breaker for me.

  • Would love to see a deal this food on black friday/cyber Monday! I am doubtful
