Want a deal on the C3 Cat & Dog!. Under $400 soon hopefully

    • +1

Cat and dog used to be cheaper before 2018.Its ridiculously expensive now. Bought mine for $420 ish last year using Amex offer.

    • +1

Keep an eye on the good guys and its ebay store. They sometimes have them on sale and then a 20% ebay sale, but timing is key as its gone before you can say ozbarga..

      • you can buy a C3 cat and dog for $425 on amazon, however its from the UK, with EU restrictions of max 890W. whereas this C3 is 2000W.

I wonder if OP saying they spent $420 bought a UK one ?

Having the same models with different power in different regions really makes it difficult to compare vacuums…

  • Really want this vacuum cleaner but it was cheaper before. Don't know if I should buy now or wait till Black Friday/ Boxing Day.

  • Any deals on C1?

  • Do people buy genuine or aftermarket bags for the C3 and from which stores? Thanks!

    • I buy genuine from GGC.

      4bags/2filters $15

      • Sorry, what's GGC?

    • I buy aftermarket bags from ebay. Works well.

  • is it possible to put a turbo head on this model?

    • +2

Yes it is, sold separately on this one. You can also have the Cat & Dogs or the C3 Turbo PowerLine that include the Turbo head by default.

  • +1

Go for the C3 Cat and Dog just for the Turbo head, its so much more effective in getting stuff from carpets. I have one and everytime I run it I am amazed by the suction and the quite motor.

Suction on these units is amazing, Bagged vacuums are so much better especially if you dont like the fuss of cleaning the canister everytime and have allerigies.
GoodGuys Commercial have great offers on bags and filters like @Kdw26488 said if you are looking to buy Miele branded bags and filters.

    • you can just buy a turbo head for $150 , is there any other difference?

anyway I have a trash vacuum so this one seems good, I was considering a Dyson stick vacuum and these have way better reviews

      • +1

People buy Dyson stick vacuums for convenience, though V10 and above have good suction, I hate cleaning the barrels and filter.
On special, I got the C3 Cat and Dog for ~$450 with cashback.

Those looking to buy can also try calling Miele Clearance Centres they usually have good prices :)

        • nice thanks for that, I might give them a call and see if they have any vacuums for sale near me, otherwise I think I'll pull the trigger on this deal in the OP. I don't really need a top of the line vacuum, just a quality one.

@Drpepper666: I can personally vouch for the Miele C3, it's an excellent machine.

  • Since C3 cat and dog is for $600+. If i buy this and but the turbo head on top of this- will it be as efficient as C3 cat and dog?

    turbo: https://www.amazon.com.au/Miele-305-3-TurboTeQ-Turbo-Brush/d…

    • from what I can tell on Amazon page, the cat and dog has Turbo Brush, Mini Turbo Brush and Charc'l Actv AirCl'n (lol) which I guess is just an air filter with charcoal which are $15. Mini Turbo Brush is $50

    • +2

If i buy this and but the turbo head on top of this- will it be as efficient as C3 cat and dog

Yes it will be as efficient. What you miss out on is the mini turbo brush
      https://shop.miele.com.au/cleaning-and-accessories/miele-acc…

      And

Charcoal air clean plus filter. That stops or helps to reduce bad dog smells

If you want save some money try
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Wessel-Werk-TK284-Turbo-…

      Or

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WESSEL-WERK-GERMAN-DESIGN-TURBO-…

Wessel werk is German company that makes the dog and cat turbo heads for Miele. So can save yourself $100 or more on buying Miele turbo brush by buying generic from the same company that supplies miele.

      • YAY !!
But where and how do you fit this air filter in the c3 family all rounder version ?

        • +2

But where and how do you fit this air filter in the c3 family all rounder version ?

The c3 family all rounder comes with a filter it is the basic airclean filter.

It is generally more than sufficient

Unless you have really smelly dogs (like Labrador that is in water all the time) that shed a lot of hair and\or someone that suffers from allergies the filter that comes with the c3 family all rounder is usually sufficient.

I wouldn’t even bother with hepa filter unless you have someone in the family that suffers from, for example, hay fever or allergies.

Plenty YouTube videos show how change the standard filter for the charcoal/hepa filter better than I could explain it.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVN3J7nne_U

Video shows Miele c1 but it’s exactly the same process for Miele c3.

      • If buying any generic turbo head make sure it is 35 millimetres diameter opening.

Best to check with the supplier that the one you buy is suitable for Miele c3 as their is also 32mm diameter opening Turbo brush made by Wessel Work for Vax Electrolux Sanyo Hoover Etc. vacuums.

And the 32mm turbobrush won’t fit.

  • Tried the Miele outlet in Brisbane, they didn't have much in way of vacuum cleaners (only 2). I asked about C3 and he said no nothing that top of the line, just C2 or below.

I bought the C3 Family All Rounder, thaks OP!

  • Well I got the C3 and it's insanely strong. Like difficult to push across tiles strong. Also was able to do my whole apartment with the cable (just barely reaches everywhere). Super pleased with this purchase

    • You can adjust the power though, right?

      • +1

Yes that is on Max power (default out of the box) which is designed for Tile use. It was just striking how strong it is.
