  I'm planning on pairing a 5800X with 3080. You reckon its worth extra ~$60 for 850W for future proof? I upgrade PC every 5 years.

    750w is considered minimum for 3080.
    A YouTuber showed that it can be run on 700w as well.

    I don't believe running PSU at close to 100% affects its longivity since that's what they're designed for. 5 years should be no problem.
