It's not just dealing with DOA, what about if the laptop develops some faults a few months down the track?
How come we get such crap deals in Australia? In the US, you can get a Ryzen 4800H with RTX2060 for $799 USD (AUD $1112).

That's an Asus TUF deal, excluding state taxes. The TUF is an inferior laptop to the Legion deal with an inferior screen, inferior cooling and build quality. The best Legion 5 deal in the US is the Amazon one ATM, at $988 to $999 USD. You can order this laptop from Amazon US directly and they will add all the necessary delivery and AU government charges. This still works out to be roughly the same as what I posted previously.
How much is the Asus TUF here in Australia, though?
Looks like there may be a work around to get local warranty for those that purchased this unit from the US based on a the recently posted flex deal. See the comments section.
