  • Probably good for those who messed up with Lenovo's system error on X220.

    Are you serious?

  • some1 please remind me why is this a bargain? it sounds more like a product announcement. Dont get me wrong it s a great product but definitely not a bargain at this price. Plus the next gen of intel CPU's will be here in 3-4 months. Then this ultrabook will go real cheap for sure.

    • +1

Can you find it cheaper anywhere? Everything will be cheaper in 3 - 4 months. That argument doesn't fly.

    • nah they're not that good, these are the first generation of ultrabooks, and not worth the huge prices. next gen will have huge power saving increases.

    • Probably the cheapest price for this level of SSD quality in a laptop. Anandtech went into detail on this, I think (far faster drive than the Airs.)

  • +1

15% off a brand new release laptop is a good deal IMHO.

    • I think the T&C says excluding all ultrabooks
which I assume they mean by the zenbooks

  • cheaper than dick smith i guess….

  • Looks sexy.

  • Anyone know for certain if one of the two USB ports is USB3?… it's a deal-breaker for me.

I'm confused with why this laptop is a bargain? Looking at the specs, I'm sure there are plenty that are better than this for a fraction of the price.

    • Give examples.

      Macbook Air perhaps?

      • +1

It's thin and light, that comes at a (significant) premium.

      • better battery life than your average notebook and has SSD, which is obviously more expensive than normal internal drives

    • Okay, please show me another slimine notebook with a 13" 1600x900 screen? MOst 15.6" lappy don't even have this high resolution for starters, majority have crappy 1366x768 screen.

      • Indeed, even higher resolution than Air13.

  • Model number?

  • not really a bargain, can always haggle to get this price no problem,
dont forget people was getting this laptop at this price a week ago with free xbox promo, of cos thats expired, but that will give u a idea on how low it could go

    • Which promo was this? This Ultrabook only came out last week in Australia.

4 cell battery, what a joke, I would spend the money and go for the Z830 from Tosh instead.

    • i would rather get the asus.

      mmmm 1600 x 900 resolution on a 13".

    • I'd rather shave certain parts of my anatomy than deal with Penta.

      • Given they are drop shipping from Ingram Micro, you are not really dealing with them, regardless that price is pretty common with all the drop shippers.

        • ever tried calling them about your order? worst pc company ever, although there is a lot of competition lately

  • is this 1269$ including 15% off?

Seriously tho, the Graphics is a BIG LET down for the PRICE…, irrespective of the screen size and other specs !

    • This laptop's aimed at business use, why would it require a dedicated GPU?

    • It is razor thin, is fast, looks dope and can play 1080p vids with ease…what more do you want? Expecting it to play BF3? give me a break

  • actually this is the cheapest I found going through staticice and shopbot. too bad that 15% off doesn't apply here

    • This price is 15% off. Normal price is almost $1400, they must have may an error in the ad/price.
