  • Will this be sufficient to use Facebook, WhatsApp, Outlook email & usual browsing the news please ?

      Yep, no problems at all.

Yes, but it depends on the user's patience. Switching between things may be slow, scrolling may at times be laggy. It will be able to do any of the things you listed, just not many of them at once etc. Spending about $200 will guarantee a smooth experience.

What phone do you recommend for $200? I'm currently on a look out for a new phone for my mum

        • Nokia 5.3 for $244? Big screen if that helps.

          • @bargaino: $244 is a bit more than $200 mate

I've had really good experiences with the Xiaomi phones. I set up my dad and my sister with this model, and they both love it:
          https://au.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-8-Pro-Global-Versi…

It's very fast- can have 20 things running and they are all super fast and snappy. Roughly 80 min charging to full battery, too. This motorolla e6s would have maybe a 3 or 4 hr charging time owing to the 5 watt charger, which would be frustrating. Really you can get anything from a brand name for $200 and it will serve most people's needs just fine. Mid range phones are really powerful these days.

          edit
The models near to 200 are very similar to the one I posted and would also obliterate email, facebook, web browsing etc. Eg this one

Get the Banggood app on your phone and check out the Umidigi A7 Pro that can be had for $140ish delivered. One of the best value phone offers around at the moment.
Alternatively look at Xiaomi for a good phone at a sensible price.

          • @Cheeper: Yes the A7 Pro is great value. But it wil be posted from overseas.
This e6s can be bought locally from OW.

@ChaLuo: Well worth the little wait for a LOT more phone. A phone with 2gb ram these days is just a paperweight.

    • 2GB Ram is sufficient. Just Make sure you dont download many apps. Otherwise, it will start to lag. It has MediaTek Helio P22 with 2.0GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, 650MHz IMG GE8320 GPU.
      Not bad for $150.
However, see if you can find something in 3gb ram. that would be a good option.

  • Is this better than the Nokia 2.3?

    • e6s uses MTK P22 , which is slightly faster than the A22 on Nokia 2.3
but the Nokia has bigger battery and support Android 10..
if you can the Nokia at the same price then perhaps get the Nokia

      • Thanks ChaLuo.

  • Thanks, was just looking for dual sim function cheap use as spare. Nokia 5.3 is dual sim but double the price of this. So its better option. Oops no delivery available.

    • Delivery is available. In fact it just said next day delivery.
Well, do search for Xiaomi phones. They are also cheap with quality components and specs.

  • I’ve got the e6s-not too bad for the price!

Unlike the G8 Power Lite which will get Android 10-rolling out in some countries but not Australia yet, the e6s is stuck on Android 9.

  • I saw something on gsmarena about moto e6s not having b28, but the nokia 2.3 with b28, can anyone with a e6s confirm if it's missing b28 700mhz?
