The Dreame D9 is mostly similar to the F9 size, 35cm x 35cm x10cm. This is purposely designed to house the LiDAR navigation system which means greater accuracy in navigation; unlocking advance map memory and room recognition functionality such as multi-rooms and selected area cleaning, virtual walls, vaccum no-go zones and mop no-go zones.

Dreame D9 will have Multi-maps ( upto to 3 maps) support via firmware update. This will allow Dreame D9 to map and operate on multiple levels within the same house.

Other key hardware features of the Dreame D9 includes:

4 levels of suction mode with up to 3,000Pa of suction power.

5,200mAh battery for up to 2.5hours of operation time; and extended further when combined with “Smart Top-up” function. This feature enables the Dreame D9 to top-up for more power during a cleaning session; and continue the clean when the appropriate level of battery is reached.

A 570ml dustbin and a 270ml smart electric water tank with adjustable water level for more precise mopping.

Removable microfiber roller brush can easily be disassembled for easy access to remove tangled hairs and general maintenance.

                  • @Gearbite: i've requested for refund now multiple times, each time promised that firmware update will resolve or might resolve. I am over the new firmware promise - doesnt fix anything. same problems - in actual fact its worse. I've pm'ed the details, please arrange for a prompt return.

                    • @F1Maniac: Have request a return label for you, sorry for the later reply here.

  • Honestly, I'm getting pretty annoyed with the product too, I'm getting similar errors to others:

It will sometimes just decide that dock is in some random place, sometimes outside of the mapped area, if you activate it while it's in that position it can skew the whole map making it tilted and requires remapping.

    I've remapped several times.

Sometimes it just doesn't want to go back to the dock, it'll say it's done and is returning to charge but then just go on a random jaunt, check this out: http://imgur.com/a/lx0uFEv it just tried over and over again to go to another room where the door was shut when it knew that the dock was in another area. It eventually just decided to go back to the dock like it realised it was lost, very frustrating.

I'm stuck on the old 58 firmware too, what happens if the problems persist with the newer firmware?

    • +1

New firmware will be available to everyone in1 week time.

      • if new firmware still don't have 3 maps. Can I refund? I try contact by phone and email nothing happened.

  • +1

Sure, have contact you by Oz message.

Rep, hats off for still offering the refund. Great service without having to resort to reciting Australian Consumer Laws, very refreshing for once!

I will also wait until the new update. But as much as I want this product to work at the moment it is unbearable - it has so much potential to be excellent, fingers crossed.

    • Hi rep,

I'm having the same issues with mapping even with the firmware update. Can you help with processing a refund for me too? Thank you.

      • Please try to use remap and put your charging dock at a open space, if your house is too long, please put your charging dock at the middle of your house. Please contact us by email [email protected] regarding return if problem still there.

  • Firmware update is installing now.

    • Is the problem fixed?

      • Haven't given it a burl yet, I'll be running it today though, will update you.

        • Firmware update seems to have fixed the mapping issues and it deciding that the dock is in some other random location. Still no support for multiple maps though.

          • @de22: Didn't work for me, the dock just magically changed location again, and the robot is now completely lost, needs another map reset…

            • @Hugoz: I just started a room cleanup and it got off the dock said it was positioning, said to failed to position and would start a new cleanup, deleted the map. WHAT THE (profanity)? Now I have to shuffle everything around again to do another (profanity) remap! This'll be my fourth or fifth time remapping

      • Seems to be working alright now, gives up on trying to go to parts of the map that don't exist after only one attempt now instead of endless attempts. Strangely though, the UI keeps changing in the app.

        • It's still not great at not running into glass, or seeing further ahead and realising it won't fit into a gap (like a baby gate).

Also still haven't heard from the rep about having a hole in the cover of the water tank. Mine definitely doesn't, and at the end of a mop the tank is still half full (and some floor seems to not get wet). The mop setting is at medium

      • for me after update its worse… 4/5 times when i select zone clean or room clean it will lose its mind and start remapping. I really wanted this to work but now its way too hard as its unpredictable when it will start over.. cant really schedule something automatic coz of this, e.g. leave mop on and except that it will ignore the no mop zones but it may if it starts to remap. I've given up.

  • Does anyone actually have an air hole in the little lid cover for the mop attachment? It says you can clean it out, but mine is definitely sealed over.

  • @gearbite when is the support for multiple maps coming? I have asked your support email many times but with no reply 😕

    • was been told On Jan, but no sure exactly day.

      • I thought this update was suppose to included multi-map support. I'm reserving final judgement till then. One of the selling points for me was the multiple map support. "Coming soon" yet still unclear after 2 months.

        • They suppost to have multi-map on Dec, but was been delay, Sorry about that, i will keep push and update here once have any news.

          • @Gearbite: Thank you @Gearbite for great customer service.I am very impressed.hope multi-map will update soon.
