    Rate this over dahua?

    • +3

It's not better than Dahua, but it is a quality system at a very reasonable price.

I paid $245 for the 8ch 2tb NVR during eBays 21% off sale earlier this year and have been very impressed. Ebay price is $315 so it's a better deal than buying there.

Camera price isn't anything special though. RLC-410 is same price on ebay here https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Reolink-5MP-PoE-Camera-Outdoor-H…

  • Most important information is missing and it's wrong too, it works with any onvif rtsp ipc

will this work on the new AI and Human detection cameras

    • Hi. Thank you for your correction.
This NVR is 5MP version, which is not compatible with the new AI cameras.

  • OP can I use switch to connect the camera to NVR or it must connect directly with the NVR?

    • Hi. Yes, you can. Here is how.

      • Sorry one more question, doesnt RLC-410 support power input other than POE, my switch doesn't support POE but i have external power source

        • Hi. A 12V power adapter will work.

  • Looking for a 4k 8ch deal. Hi dealbest, do you know if E1 reolink camers will work with this NVR?

Ive got 2 here which would be great if they can be all connected in one app like my previous ZMODO cams.

    • +1

Hi, yes. E1 will work with this NVR. Here is a list of cameras that can work with this NVR.
And we have 15% off code T8AEBJSR for RLK8-800B4 this week.

      • I saw that. Waiting for a 575$ deal like last month!

Thanks for the reply. Will keep an eye out.

  • Any wireless with nvr or dvr?

    • RLC-410W and RLC-511W can work with this NVR.

      • Thank you. So thus nvr accommodates poe and these 2 wireless cameras.

      • Ready to purchase. Just need this confirmation.

        • Yes. You may check here for the full list

This seems like a pretty good deal to me. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles of the more modern (& expensive) systems, it seems worth it.

I have a Swann system and only use it for general security and checking who’s at the front door before I open it. I’m sure I would use some of the more modern features to eliminate false triggers on motion detection, but a basic system suits my needs.

If you have a single story house, these are a breeze to put in.

  • Hi OP, I have an old DVR camera system with coaxial and power cables, is there any way I can use PoE cameras and NVR over existing coaxial cabling?

    • Hi, I am afraid not. Reolink POE cameras support T-568B connectors and CAT5, CAT6, CAT7 with 8 PIN Ethernet cable. The maximum length the camera supported is 100 meters (330 feet).

Some reolink cams don't work with Onvif, so make sure you check the details. B400 for example

  • I have few years old Hikvision NVR.
And Web-UI requires plugin which is really hard got get working in model browsers (at least for me).

Is Reolink NVR UI as bad as Hikvision?

    • +2

Reolink's firmware updated and no plugin is required when using browsers to access.

  • Hi there. Are these compatible with Swann IP cameras? My NVR seems to have fried and I'm hoping I can just swap it out for something similar

    • ONVIF has different versions of compatibility that dictate which features can be integrated into the system. Reolink devices support 2.1 version of ONVIF protocol.

  • Got a 4 cam 4k system last week. Need two more cameras. Any individual deals?

    • 15% off with code FCGB35LV for D800 in this week.

  • RLC-410 was cheaper ~AUD$50.43 before

    • -1

It's an option to buy together. You can get the NVR along this time, which is a great deal.

  • Hi, will the RLC-511W cameras work with Google Assistant?

    • Hi. yes. For the cameras with hardware IPC_513/IPC_515, please upgrade the camera to the latest firmware before linking them with Google Home.

      • Thank you.

    • +1

Not when used with a NVR I believe
