[eBay Plus] Corsair RM750X 750W 80+ Gold Power Supply $188.10 Delivered @ Computer Alliance eBay

450
PLUSSAVE

Original Coupon Deal

Definitely not as good as the Plusflash deal, but those lasted less than a minute. They've restocked now so very good price otherwise, stack with 5% off eBay gift cards via TCN via Shopback to get it for $178.70. Not sure if CB applies to this code.

  • Got it for $167 in recent eBay 20% off sales. Still good price though.

By the time I added it to cart they were sold out.

      • Probably will go lower around Black Friday sales imo.

On one hand yes, on the other, ryzen 5000 will have been released and more people will want new systems.

      • Similar thing happened to me. By the time I had keyed in the coupon code and logged in to Paypal, item was sold out. Ended up getting the rm850x instead.

        • how much did rm850x cost?

          • @jedimaster: Around 219 after discounts assuming we grabbed the same one, but around $12 in cashbacks special for the day

          • @jedimaster: It was $212 after discount (listed price was $265).

        • umart has it for around $206

I was lucky in that a few ebay stores had it and was able to buy from them.

    • less 18 bucks casback

  • -8

    Pass…doesn't have RGB

  • I got this for $159.2 less Ebay gift card cashback during last years BF sale from CA. It might be worth waiting later for more discounts

  • Got one from CPL for 199$

Hopefully someother store will drop it in price so I can claim price protection.

      $10 cheaper here

Was tempted to pick up a white RM750x for $210 from them since I have a white case, but then it comes with a PSU shroud so how often will I be looking at the ass of the computer.

        • It comes with white cables tho

          • @currentfad: I picked up a solid case. No windows. Define 7 compact

    • But that's only if more than $75 cheaper and appears in a printed catalogue within 25km of original purchase?

That's standard useless terms for most card protection claims I've seen or you got a way less stringent card I'd like to know about :)

      • Dont know, 28 degrees seems pretty flexible (based off comments on OzB). Ill update if it doesnt go through

Still waiting on a RM850x, looks like it might be a while.

    • Meh bought it from the same seller @ 260 + free delivery (ebay plus)

    • +1

yeah same. a little bit more future proofing over the 750

      • I thought power consumption and more efficient gpu were becoming more common than the opposite

        • +1

They typically are in the sense that the amount of performance per watt you get is increasing, but that doesn't mean power (watts) itself is decreasing. If you were to get a 3080 with an i9 or something and overclock both then I would suggest 850 watt PSU over 750 for sure.

    • Can pick these up for like $230 in plenty of places.

  • any SF750 discounts?

  • Got the RM750 from Amazon for $178.28, delivered today. I was comparing between the RMx & the RM before, and decided to go with the RM, because if more future-proof than the RMx.

Worth to note that while RMx range is of better build quality and quiter, the RM series is Modern Standby Compatible whereas RMx is not. Also, since RM is newer, Corsair reduce the number of PATA connectors and take away the floppy connecter and added 2 SATA connecters instead, if that's important to you, keep that in mind.

For a full list of difference between RM & RMx, check this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/d8dour/psu_help_r…

Japanese Caps + better fan + in cable caps vs cheaper price and modern standby, but only if you pick up the latest version (2019)

      • Yes, that sums it up. Really depends on how important is mordern standy for the buyer.

        • I mean, it sounds like a great feature for laptops, but not sure how useful that is for desktops.

      • I read Toms Hardware reviews (for both units), the chinese caps used in the RM model (and the fan) made me go to RMx model

  • got the rm550x for $220 so you're winning :)

  • Got the RM750 (newer model) for $220 delivered in June but claimed $35 back when Amazon had it on sale recently for $181. Good enough, but still over priced compared to a year ago.

  • Anyone have any thoughts on the "SilverStone 850W Strider Gold" unit? Seems to be well priced and 850w?
