I have recieved an email from Telstra to setup direct debit and recieve 10K telstra points. its may be targeted please check your email if you are not recieved or setup direct debit previsouly.

Just cancel direct debit in a month when the points are in your account
This is a really weird way to look at paying for a service you use but sure

I got offered this but already had direct debit set up once before but cancelled it because it would never work.
Though T&C says you get the bonus reward points only if you never had direct debit set up previously
I checked my Telstra Plus account for the first time ever and they had gifted me 50,000 points months back for signing up direct debit - was shocked.

I have paid my last three bills Manually and waited for email. I have received it today hopefully you will too.
Without email you won’t receive any points, confirmed with Telstra rep last time.

Telstra considers saving a debit/credit card details (when doing a manual payment) as having setup direct debit, even if you have never setup direct debit before. I got screwed out of 50000 points last time because of that bs.
