  • Ordered as gift to my friend, same issue as above, really disappointed. Couldn't fully charged.

  • Just an update.
    Thought id try my original xiaomi dreame v9 vaccum's power adapter before sending it back to mobileciti.

    Plugged it in and came back later to find it fully charged.

    So I think the problem lies in the afternarket charger they gave us.

    • Thats good to know. Do you know of any website where I can purchase just the adapter.

    • How is the adapter aftermarket, given the box is sealed. As in from source they put in a potentially lower spec adaptor for the AU plug? Surely not the vendor Mobileciti?

      • My bad. Yea its most likely not aftermarket. Just has an aftermarket feel to it

        • Worrying that an alternative seems to work for you. My unit is similar/same as reported, though if i leave it long enough i come back and all the lights are out. Long enough ranges several hours to overnight…I never see more than the second light flashing. It seems to run about 3-5 mins on high, but unless the specs on the outside of the adapter are false (which would account for the low/slow/inability to charge) not sure why it's failing. Let us know if yours seems quicker to charge on the other adapter, if so then perhaps these are poor quality/lower spec and need to be replaced.

            • @bart2: Yeah sounding like duds in the box! I dont have anything with similar rating to try unfortunately. Perhaps mobileciti will need to source some for those facing the charging issues and swap them out…

              • @Imjustsayin: yeah hope the rep from mobiciti can come back with a solution for the adapter swap rather than us sending the whole unit back.

      Thanks for your info. The charger that came with the package was provided by the factory. I have sent you concern to a Xiaomi rep and they are sending us some replacement chargers as we speak. We we will test with his with the faulty unit and hopefully that will clear all the issues.

      In the mean time people who experience similar issues can choose to wait for a replacement charger or request return via [email protected] and we will provide replacement/refund upon request.

  • Same problem here, so disappointing. Its like the charging cycle times out or something. Couldn't make it past the 1st bar overnight, so then removed the cleaner and put back in the cradle, now its charge flashing on second bar. Maybe the cheap charger isn't putting out enough current to charge it within a certain pre-set time. I emailed them. Anyone had any luck with Mobileciti on a replacement charger?

    The worst thing is with this is being a Xiaomi replacing a dyson - my wife didn't need any additional reasons not to like this device. Inception has occured of the idea that this thing is a dud.

  • Received an email to say that my return request had been approved. They now want me to send it back for review. Just seen two posts above saying that the issue is with the adapter. Thinking of buying that adapter to see if it might solve the problem.

    Same issue here, unboxed and placed on charge for 2 days! it ran for a bit maybe 15min - back on charge and now i went to vacuum the car and after one seat it was flat again -like 2 min running on the lowest power setting. Shame as this is really faulty and the factory should have picked this up. Hopefully Mobileciti come to the party and return ship these devices as they are 100% faulty out of the box!

  • i have received my prepaid label and will send this back tomorrow - but i wonder if the rep can offer any update/advice in terms of the adapter? surely it would be better to get a new adapter sent out rather than everyone having to all send these back

    • I received an email to say that my return request has been accepted. I received a RMA number

      The email asked me to do the following

      • Item is properly packed, and all original accessories must be returned with all products.
      • RMA number must be written on packaging, next to address. Your RMA number is ********
      • Proof of purchase must be included.

      Does this mean, I need to pay for the return postage ? Can anyone please clarify this.

    Mobilieciti contact us and they paid for return post fee, then sent item to Xiaomi company to investigate the charger issue.
    Got the result yesterday, Xiaomi states the charger is faulty and replace a new charger and will sent us back.
    So far quite satisfied about the customer service on mobileciti.
    They doing a good job.
    If you bought this one and have same problem and want to keep vacuum.
    You can do this way.
    I’ll say this vacuum is not bad as long as with right charger.
    Not receive return product yet.
    Hopefully it’s gonna be fine.

  • Grrrr…. same charging issue here ;-( This is going to be a nightmare for Mobileciti to deal with hundreds of this issue. I'm hoping I can get a replacement charger as I actually really like the machine.

  • Same problem here, bought it on 23-Oct-2020 but only opened it last week and used it once, same charger issue like alot of people here, and we think the stick is faulty too.

    We have a similar 1c Xiaomi model AU version bought from Costco and the charger from Mobileciti definitely looks aftermarket. Have a look the official Costco-bought-Xiaomi-AUS-charger below, and the one from Mobileciti

    Tried the Costco-Xiaomi charger and it doesn't charge Mobileciti's stick

    Emailed them today and asked for full refund as we don't think a charger swap will fix the problem. Haven't heard back yet hopefully won't have too much hassles dealing with them.

  • Thanks to the store for arranging a replacement charger. Tested out charging and my vacuum got fully charged in 2-2.5 hours. Hope others will get their replacement chargers soon.
