  • Being a honest tax payer this is what I'm looking for.

    • I wanted to write something about a sweet discount on my tax return but then i saw your downvotes and it made me sad.

It’s probably cos that “joke” has been overdone for the last 2 years.

        • +1

A lot of jokes on OzB are overdone.

        • Fair enough. I have not really used ozb much before covid.

  • Awesome. Both tea bag and itunes balances are critically low. (In fact, don’t tell anyone, but this month paid Full price for a box of teabags and a $20 card. EDIT. Spoke too soon: only black tea is on special-this seems to be a new trend)

    • Nooo we've ran out of peppermint and chamomile.

    • S'ok, you won't be judged, as long as you keep the infringements to an absolute minimum.

Just in time for Disney plus renewal :)

    • I’m thinking what you’re thinking

Just in time for Netflix renewal.

  • can we convert itunes to app store credit to but hardware like in USA?

  • +3

Is there a list of services or subscriptions that someone has made that you can pay with these itune credits.

From my understanding things like Disney Plus or Spotify can be paid

    • I tried seeing if I can change Spotify online.

      Only offers PayPal and Card

      • You have to do it from the iPhone app. But even then, Spotify charges 30% more to pay via iTunes to cover Apple's ridiculous fees and I don't think they allow you to change to iTunes billing if they currently have your card details.

        • -1

          Apple's ridiculous fees

You mean the same 30% cut that Google, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and every other vendor takes on their respective platforms?

          • -1

@haru: This is off-topic and I'm not going to respond further, but Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo provide significant additional services beyond just collecting a ridiculous fee for what they charge - including software QA, physical disc or cartridge production, storage and distribution of all content (except for apps like Spotify, where the app developer still has to supply the content hosting and distribution, but the platform also doesn't charge a fee because it doesn't mandate that Spotify has to use their platform for billing).

You're comparing Apples and Oranges, and it still doesn't manage to defend Apple's ridiculous practice.

            • -1

@[Deactivated]: And I suppose you think Apple has just been sitting on their hands collecting rent and the 1.8m apps on iOS and $155 billion app economy just happened by accident, right?

As usual don’t forget to price match at OW. I always buy over the phone for CC and it works like a charm

Can Applecare+ be paid via gift card?

    • +1

I wanna know if the monthly AppleCare+ can be paid with store credit. When my 12 arrives I can try and report back.

    • No.

  • +2

How does the A11 stack up against other budget phones say for the old folks who don't need high end specs, anyone got one? My dad may need to upgrade his moto e4

  • can i buy app store with itunes card?

    • Yes.

      • so this would be the cheapest way to buy Logic Pro I would know.

  • Time to stock up on credit before Apple One arrives.

    • +1

Apple One needs to allow you to Choose the services you want and get a discount for bundling.

Their packgaes are awful when you essentially have to take Apple Arcade and or Apple News which are both sub par products

Icloud and Music is all i need, if i got TV+ as well for a decent discounted price then i would consider it.
So for me yearly Apple Music ($119) and iCloud 50GB is enough :)

      • appleone?

        • +1

new bundled subscriptions launching later this year,

          Premier: Music, TV+, Arcade, 2TB iCloud, News+ and Fitness+ $39.95 per Month (6 Users)

Just in time for eveyone who paid for a year of Disney Plus last year with itunes gift cards to renew their subs

  • Can we ask for price beat with iTunes GC with OW? We can right? Brings the price down a bit more?

    • +4

you can. either visiting OW stores or via phone. they'll lower a further 5% off the discounted price form coles

  • ouffff! Need.Skype.Gift.Cards

Can I use multiple (7 x $100) cards to buy a refurbished iPad from the Apple refurbished store online?

    • +5

No. This is an iTunes gift card. To get that refurbished iPad you would need Apple Store gift cards which I never found a single place offering discounts.

    • +3

In the US they have phased out itunes cards and replaced them with a single Apple Gift Card that can be used in store, App Store, Music etc

They also do not discount the gift cards ever, so its unlikley this will be launched in Aus anytime soon and if it is you can say good bye to discounts.

  • How much to unlock the Samsung A11?

  • Will Officeworks give price beat on this if there is no sale at Officeworks also?

    • +2

      Yes they will

    • +1

they will… but you can expect a price match when this launches.

    • +1

I just did it over the phone with free delivery

  • Do Coles service stations usually have these on sale at the same time as the supermarket?

    • I feel like they do for the iTunes gift cards sometimes.

      • Seems they don’t in NSW at least. I tried today and no discount on the $30 cards.

  • +1

Just price beat with OW over the phone but they were reluctant saying they'd check the catalogue to see if it says in store only. I've got no idea what that's got to do with anything but they did it in the end.

  • Couldn't price beat over the phone, they say it needs to be online and in store item.

    • +1

      take catalogue thre??

      • +1

yep, planning to go there over the weekend… Deal on Coles goes to 3/11 so there's plenty of time. Although I'm thinking in trying over the phone once more later today… let's see

        • let us know how you go!

        • +1

The w/e will be too late. OW will have changed their price before there.

    • +2

      price beat online worked

      • how do u beat online/theior website?

        • oops, it was over the phone

    • +1

Rang OW at 8am, first person said the same thing, hung up and called again a different person processed price beat no questions asked.

    • Tried again now and it was just fine, lovely CS person too.

  • Anyone know if you can pay with Flybuys Dollars? These go through the self-checkout on the "card" option, not gift card. So I'm just wondering…

    • You can't pay with Flybuys Dollars unless you have a Coles Financial Services product

      • I have a Coles credit card and an insurance product but how are the two related?

  • I also did price beat over the phone with Officeworks about half an hour ago, getting it delivered as well.

  • +1

    Got my $100 card today.

  • Hi guys, anyone know if the iTunes GC stack with the staff discount if buying something else together? Thanks.

  • +2

Just did price beat with officeworks via the phone.

They asked if it was in the catalogue. It’s on page 41 if they want to know the page number.

Bought 3 x $100 cards at $80.75 each. Perfect for Disney+ and Netflix etc

  • Thanks OP. Got $200 for $161.50 in store price match.
